The game is good. The story is serviceable, the PvE operations don't have too much variety after playing through each level once, the combat feels meaty even if somewhat shallow, the visuals are stunning, the sounds are good.

BUT, the game crashes on a near-constant basis no matter what you do because of Easy Anti-Cheat.
This is why I am marking this review as negative, you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enjoy the game because one crucial bit of it decides to ♥♥♥♥ itself and boots you to the desktop (in most cases) or hard-freezes your entire PC.

Do not purchase this game until the EAC-related game crashes are fixed unless you want to get frustrated after crashing in the middle of a campaign mission, operation, or PvP match for the 7th time this week.

Good soundtrack, very unique visual style, good gameplay, and gives you the right amount of information to learn and not get overwhelmed.
If you've got a friend that was/still is into Kingdom Rush-type games, they won't be disappointed with this one.

TLDR: Gun shoot good, arena sandbox allows for great creativity, launch was horrible but it is much better now, matchmaking has problems in the form of constantly throwing you against two enemies that are better than you, forge is the greatest it has ever been, and the PvE that can be found there is pristine.
Don't listen to the haters and check it out for yourself.

Good combat, great customization, great graphics, fun community, and a pretty nice soundtrack, the updates take pretty long though

Overall, It's pretty nice

A timeless game.
Distinctive artstyle, simple gameplay and objectives, and a great, dedicated community.
No matter how many times you go on a hiatus from this game, you always eventually come back.

Grab Luftrausers instead.

Sure, it may be dead now, but it is a fun game, it has a great variety in weapons, gadgets, it has some replayability value, its free to play, i wish that valve added workshop, updated the game, added more campaigns, and that there were more people playing this great game, its an amazing game overall, its just lacking in content.

well then, downloaded the game on free weekend, and i got amazed how good this game is, even if its unfinished, my favorite character was pure, unfinished, but good, favorite type of weapon was katana, downloaded some items from WoW universe, metal gear rising, dota 2, thats all, then i go to the multiplayed after completing the tutorial, and i was getting pwned, then i was getting better, i've even met a guy who has a cape.

that was my story of free weekend stroll, but i dont think i would waste as much time like dota, good luck developing it.
