Went in to Back 4 Blood with fairly low expectations, been looking at it a few times and been hesitant every time but after having come across it on a sale i figured i'd buy two copies so i could gift one to a friend to try it out in a co-op setting and honestly it's a lot of fun.

My biggest problem with the game is that the AI is fairly suicidal and absolutely will walk of a ledge somewhere and kill itself, and there just aint nothing you can do about it.

Other than that, it's fairly chaotic, the build possebilities are quite frankly so varied that just building my deck is fun by itself and while all the cards are not impressive by themselves i feel like theres enough of choices where you can really double down on a build or go as wide as you want.

I only went through Act 1 so far on Veteran difficulity and while i do think that Veteran is kind of easy, Nightmare however surely was not (not yet at least) and it seems like the game offers plenty of challenge and variety to make future runs (once i finish with all the campaign content) still fun without feeling too repetative.

Weaponry while somewhat limited still for the most part feels good and being able to melee without interrupting the reloading of my primary just feels incredible. (The animation gets interrupted to make room for the quick stab with your melee but the action still takes place in the background and does in fact not get interrupted even if it looks like it does)

10 Hours in and so far i think its a really good experience that feels nostalgic enough to make me think about Left 4 Dead just the right amount, but also modern enough to not feel like the game is being dragged down with dated gunplay.

I personally love the L4D series but coming back to it in recent years puts me off from it slightly as i feel like the experience is dated and no longer lives up to my personal preferences, where as Back 4 Blood has taken some liberties with its enemies it still feels like the original, just in a way more gore filled setting.

It's easy to see why people might think Back 4 Blood is just a modern looking Left 4 Dead, but honestly the game stands on its own feet and performs in its current state really well. Yes it does take a lot of inspiration from the L4D series i'd say its different enough that i would not classify them as the same game. Inspired yes? but it absolutely does its own thing in a fantastic way.

Final Verdrict: 8/10

While i personally enjoy it a lot with friends i'll be honest and say it's probably closer to a 7/10 for me. but that's because i dont typically engage with these types of games anymore. But i do think the game is better than i give it credit for and so i stand by the 8, even though for me it's a 7.

Early Access Review
At first i didnt think much of it, decided to check out some videos on youtube trying to look for only beginner content and first reactions and it just genuinely looked like a lot of fun. Its very simple but the world is enormous and the progress feels constant even tho its a heavy grind. at no point did i ever feel like any challenge or task was too daunting.

Praise Odin 19/10

Quite abit of fun this game, its less gun porn than Borderlands 2 but still a bunch of fun to be had. Story has its ups and downs but the gunplay is the best in the series. Love it so far.

Its like Warframe, but less cool mobility and more cool (all be it) fairly static gunplay. The PVP is in a class of itself and even Gambit is a fun alternate to PVP being more of a PVEPVP. Great story good gunplay and plenty of weapons. Easy to recommend.

Not as fun as it once was, still a good way to kill some time.

The Long Dark has come quite a ways from where it launched, the game has had many patches and fixes over the years and its grown better and better over time, i can't wait for Wintermute to finally play out and to bask in all the glory that this wonderful game has to give.
