This game, like many others, proves that you don't need overcomplicated mechanics or amazing graphics to be good, it's a simple, short and fairly challenging game (especially later on) that is fun, and honestly for this price I couldn't have asked for more, you'd think people have gotten bored of games of this formula by now but I really like how intuitive some of these "solutions" to the levels are, and the cinematic vibes the "cut scenes" give in this game feel like over the top action movies which is great!

This is by far the most definitive version of classic DOOM you can ever get, you got all the original campaigns, Sigil and even Legacy of Rust which are great! then you got the mod support if you want to go and try even more custom created maps at the leisure of a single press, instead of having to go through launchers and compatible mods, I used to play Brutal DOOM which had a few steps you had to follow in order to get it running, but DOOM + DOOM II gets rid of all that hassle! You can enjoy the original games without the hiccups of MS-DOS and even the new remastered soundtrack by Andrew Hullshult and the other campaigns MIDI songs are a new addition to my collection!

And the best of all? this game still holds up, even 32 years later! I highly recommend people try out the classic DOOM, you will not regret it. It is my favorite franchise.

This game is amazing, the music perfectly matches all the chaos happening around and in front of you, and even the creativity of all these levels deserve heavy praise! The amount of levels is honestly impressive even though they are quite short, this is a game you can finish in a few hours, but the amount of fun in those hours is worth it!

I love horror games, and I went through a huge list of horror games, yet I never played Resident Evil 7 until near the end of 2024, I finished a lot of RE games, but I never touched on the revival of the survival horror genre... and what a revival it was... This game is a damn masterpiece, all the references to some of the biggest horror movies ever are here and they managed to mix them all together coherently too! Most games would feel rushed or cheap for taking so many inspirations but RE7 knew what it had to work with and it sticks!

The perspective change is so good for this series imo, not that third person was bad, but I really love the first person camera, the shooting is rock solid, the puzzles are great but sometimes can take a few tries before you get it, there is so much room for replayability in this and so much content to go through! I loved all the dlcs and mini game modes it had to offer, besides the alligators in a certain dlc, whoever designed those, I have a quarrel with him IRL.
Resident Evil 7 is now my 2nd favorite Resident Evil game, 1st one being Resident Evil 4 Remake, and it's all because after I finished the game... I felt like I wanted to play it again, and again...

The Nightmare "Horde" mode was a breath of fresh air and very fun to go through, the BlackJack mode was hell but surprisingly fun too once you got the hang of it and finally conquer it, the other expansions add to the story even more, and while I didn't like that they somewhat retcon some things in the story, they were great! All I knew is that in one of them I'm Boulder Destroying Chris Redfield and I'm here to break stuff and with the other expansion I'm Joe Danger and I can clear anything out of my way with the good ol' one-two.

There are a few things which could very well annoy someone out of playing this game, like the damn crawlers, the bloaters, the various "Must Die" modes and even BlackJack can be very aggravating, but if you put the time to master these game modes you might have a lot of fun in the end, I always kept coming back for another run, even after I already beat it!
Joe must die though... I was almost going insane with that one... I even started playing BrodyQuest while I kept doing the same thing over and over again, expecting things to change.

I think this game is very polished in lots of areas though, and most importantly it's fun, it still feels like a video game and not some drama story meant to paralyze you when the credits roll, and that is why I think it's one of the best horror games out there nowadays.

This is a tough one to review... because while I did enjoy playing through this game, to those who are expecting another FlatOut but in modern ages, this is sort of it... but let me explain it's many flaws... TLDR at the end.

To start off... this game doesn't have it's own identity... I really liked the few unique ideas it had like some tracks and modes, but most of the game is full of video game and movie references, and I think "full" is an understatement... it's a huge pile of references put into a game and expected to be coherent, like those old youtube poop videos back in the day but you're actually playing it... Most of the maps are legitimately 70% similar from other games, mostly FlatOut ofc.
The story is really bad, and I mean REALLY bad, I understand that the developers may have put their time and effort into trying to make something nice here, but I think it would've actually made the game better if it was just gameplay.

Cars have no weight in this game, if you step on a branch wrong you'll roll over for some reason or fly off into space, I understand that for arcade purposes this is probably a feature, but FlatOut did this better 20 years ago, and this isn't the nostalgia in me speaking, as I went back to check...
Sure... FlatOut had this "feature" too, but not to this extent... it mostly only applied to hitting other cars, not any piece of environment on the map...

The driving mechanics are alright, after you tweak them a bit you can basically control every corner with any car the way you like, I also really liked the damage system, and by that I don't mean the visual damage, but the fact you can literally leave someone's car without nitro if you hit them in the back hard enough.
The rubber banding is pretty bad sometimes, like any other racing game, we know, we know, but this one isn't even trying to hide it...
The game's optimization is all over the place, sometimes it'll run really well and other times it'll just run at about 20 fps, I haven't had any crashes though so that's a good thing.

But you know what this game gets right? THE MUSIC! The music is so good! It actually feels really nostalgic and this is one of the best parts of the game in my opinion.
I wish it had tried to be more original instead of just leeching off of every single game/movie out there... I would've honestly given it a positive review had that been the case, but if you're not going to read the entirety of this review... it goes something like this:

TLDR: If you haven't played FlatOut 1 and 2, go play those instead, if you have and want more of that, get this game, it's alright, it has the same flavor but it may have needed a bit more time in development.

I can't even recommend this game ironically, because I thought I'd have somewhat of a Cuphead clone but made really badly for humor reasons... nope... this game is awful, it's not funny, it's hard in convoluted ways, and when it's not hard the game gets stuck and won't allow you to progress for reasons I cannot even begin to fathom, the game doesn't even explain to you how to heal, how to use the shop, or even the main controls, you're just placed into the gameplay and left to figure it out!!!
Every wrong press you do will reset you to the start of the level!! I can't even play this game until completion and I'm someone that doesn't falter to hard games, but this is just terrible! I tried the first mission at least 3 times only to get stuck in the same segments and the game won't even begin to hint at what I have to do! I haven't even found guides that can help me out because apparently the area I am stuck on just gets skipped in gameplays!!!

"Sorry I'm late, It's kinda my thing"

It took me until 2025 to finally play and finish this masterpiece but here I am, and oh man what a game it was!! I loved almost every single bit of it!

The intro to the game says everything! I'm even listening to the song as I am writing this!
Just jumping straight into the action and figuring out being a hero as you go, it's a spectacle!
And getting a reboot that just feels so fresh! we all know the story by this point, no need to reiterate it 20 times, You just need to know you're Spider-Man, that's it!

"I hope I live to regret this!"

The web swinging is the most satisfying out of all the Spider-Man games, the animations, the takedowns, the combo of gadgets to use in order to win a fight are all phenomenal!
The combat can get a bit easy even on harder difficulties after you upgrade most of your gadgets, but that doesn't make it boring at all!
The only thing I can criticise it for are the repeating crimes which get stale after a while and are mandatory for 100%, but I guess it gives you more time with the combat system.

"Come on Jared! that's not an ethnic slur! I like cannolis!"

The JJJ podcasts which are so perfectly done by the VA, the amazing side stories and challenges (most of them at least, I dislike the Screwball ones) , this is just a game that will keep you glued to your screen, the funny quips, and even the new universe story written by Insomniac with it's unique twists, are all just so good!
This is the best Spider-Man game, and I don't think I am the only one who will be talking about what a good time I had with it!

"Actually they're GOOD jokes, but I understand humor can be subjective..."

All I can say is that I had a big smile on my face in some moments of this game, and I didn't get tired of it at any point, I even booted up New Game+ as soon as I was done with the main story, not a lot of games do this to me.
I don't even feel like I have to detail this review too much in order to get fans of the series to get it, I haven't even seen the Marvel universe movies and I am sure a lot of references and easter eggs flew by my head, but I can tell that the attention to detail to those is also great!
Even though I can't really call myself a huge Spider-Man fan, I am still a fan, and this one was one of the best Spider-Man media I have ever consumed!

"What if I told you that someone you know, is in here with you?"

This game is a great introduction to those who want to start these top down visual novel style horror games, it's short, it has a good story, it's easy to understand and it's not very punishing, compared to some others who would just kill you for every single wrong input or because of being too curious, oh... I heard that's bad for cats.

Honestly, I liked this prologue more than the main game Paper Lily, I like Paper Lily too, but it feels like Project Kat has less room for annoying deaths and sections that seem hard to get past, the puzzles are much more down to earth here too, and I even enjoyed the characters interactions and stories more, even the designs!

I really liked the different endings this game has to offer, it gives you a lot more insight into the main character than what you would see in other media, and I encourage people to try and see those for themselves as well, as the game is quite short anyway, and having a save at just the right time means you can experience all of those in a few mins difference!

The achievement you get when you finish the tutorial is "High hopes for this one" Oh... the irony...
I can't even begin to describe how awful this game is...

But you know what? I did have a bit of hope for this one, until I had to go through a tedious linking of my Capcom account, something I surely have, right? Oh don't worry, it won't take long for you to do it, certainly less than queuing up for a match!
Besides that, you also got NA only servers, but that's fine, there's definitely enough people playing from NA so you can do a few achievements right? Maybe enable cross-play too and get more chances at it? NOPE! Nobody plays this game!
Somehow after like 5-15 minutes of waiting, I managed to get in! great!

I honestly installed this to go for the achievements as it seemed pretty easy, but this is dreadful to play!
This game works on an upgrade skill system thing, you got try hards that have the biggest health and biggest damage who insta kill you and you take 2 and a half weeks until you get them down even! there's no strategy here other than to either queue up with some friends or endure a few grinding sessions and also get these upgrades!!! The gameplay is sort of alright but that doesn't help this game at all... it's literally the type of upgrades you'd find buying in a free to play mobile game, I cannot recommend this, to anyone, not even for the achievements, at least you can't buy this separately...

And the worst part? I'm masochistic enough to go through this pain again to get that 100%, which you get in like 3 hours, hopefully... at least. I'm gonna have to get some friends on this for one of those "bad games night" and hope for the best.

So you ended up on this category of Steam games huh? what were you looking for? Souls-Like? Parody? Coop?
Or just any "fun" game to spend 6 or so hours in? Regardless of how bad it will be... Well I am sorry to disappoint you if you were looking for any slop to waste your money on, because this game is worth it.

The story is quite a surprise, sure it may have the humor of a child but honestly, that humor hasn't left me yet, so I chuckled quite a few times seeing the cutscenes and jokes of Sir DUMBASS, the soundtrack is pretty good! and I enjoyed the comical tone of it as well as the epic guitars whenever the game wanted to be edgy... wait that's not the word... I meant cool! Yeah! cool... **puts on pair of Deal-With-It sunglasses**

The gameplay is actually quite functional, most of the time, it's just overall a solid game, with good jokes and enough content to justify the price, the coop is also pretty fun, but playing it solo won't take away from your enjoyment!
I can't wait to see what the sequel has to offer and what other adventures Sir Ass will go on! This one was quite spectacular.
