With the release of 1.3 Beta I can finally say this game holds water to native Warband, the stealth and diplomacy systems have been fleshed out, the economy has been balanced with towns providing more tax and tons more tariff income, despite the increased bandits. I've found they only spawn a lot in low security or when a war is going on in the area, which makes sense and adds a limiting factor to being away from your lands for too long, it feels much more like playing as a feudal lord protecting your peasants from consistent manageable threats, the bandits are also great fodder for grinding troop xp and scouting quickly. Because of bandits clogging things up when lords are away AI Kingdoms are more likely to remain at peace so they can get stronger and boost their economies and then go to war, the war logic has changed so Khuzaits aren't at war with Vlandia for no good reason. The result is the AI wont declare war the moment they finish another and will use peace to get stronger. Marriages and diplomacy can be a very strong deterrent for AI to go to war with you.

I took Quyaz and Tublius Castle from Uniqid and beat and freed him until I had 100 relation, made peace, married his daughter or sister, made a trade agreement, and i played another few years killing the empire and the Aserai never declared on me again, they just gobbled Southern Empire land, so it felt much more like a feudal lord roleplay experience.

As far as mods go, most Armor and Weapon mods were working with the beta and I expect them to continue working when Warsails drops, overhauls like Shukohu and Old Realms will obviously need updating. That said, with the current framework, and the addition of navies in Warsails DLC, I expect the modding community to have a much easier time moddifying and expanding already existing systems like diplomacy, stealth, navies and naval trade instead of building them from scratch.

Have played this game since I was a kid playing with my dad... that was almost a decade ago and the devs are still working on this project. Its awesome to be able to come back every few months and see new content every time like minecraft in space.

Many people encounter crashes and DLC issues

and to unlock the DLC for the Ulitmate Edition just go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist and run the "DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam" that will fix it.

I had never heard of this game and just recently found out about the series, I played Star Wars The Old Republic (MMO) and the game feels like a singleplayer version of that. This game was made when Bioware was good so the game is really well made. Many say it was their best game and although I haven't gotten around to the star wars games yet, the eight hours I have played were some of the best out of any RPG I have played in a long time.

The game is a blend of Witcher 3 questlines/story telling, Mount and Blade: Warband RPG mechanics, Biowares classic combat system smashed with Final Fantasy-esq party mechanics. Honestly it makes for one of the most unique gameplay expeirences I have ever had. The party mechanics and tactics are a bit daunting and I still havent figured it out, but you can do without them just fine.

I will give the game a final score once completed but I give it 9/10 at the moment. I took one poiont off for the age and graphics. If this game is ever remastered I would buy it in a heartbeat, so long as EA isn't the one doing it.

Lots of fun ir you like rts styled games, provides lots of content w/ vanilla, and in combination with mods from the workshop its like playing an entirely different game.
