I won't accept random friend requests, I only add people I've actually had time to get used too in games or otherwise.

Firstly, have my personal "Why did it have to end, like, at all?" award.

Secondly, an actual review.

Positive Aspects
- Your Team: The characters that make up your team in this game are great. They, above all, are the main reason I did not want this game to end. The last time I felt so attached to a small amount of characters was in Mass Effect, and it took them 3 games to achieve.
- The Art Design: Keeping with their own style, each character portrait seen in dialogue does a great job at communicating that characters personality. And they all manage to look distinct to boot.
- The Music: Few games make me want the soundtrack, but when they do, they can take my money. I'll never get tired of 'Grendel' or how the music changes pace as the fight draws closer to it's conclusion.
- Ways of Progressing: The game has plenty of ways around the problems it presents you. Perhaps that mission would have gone a lot smoother if you had a drone? Or maybe a lost spirit would have been willing to help if you could have communicated with it?
- Character Skill Paths: Although the game kinda gives you and hint and a shove to play as a mage, since it is the one thing the team lacks, you are far from forced to do so. In fact, I loved running 2 Shamans with my totally safe strategy of placing cover around them both, in the middle of the enemy, with an arm that threw back the only counter to it. Projectiles. Delightful.

Negative Aspects
Combat: This part of the game could be better in my opinion. Taking much of it's inspiration from XCOM and it's cover system, they do a fair job at replicating it. But It is easy to question why some things are not considered cover when you'd otherwise expect them to be. And to this day I feel that the angle characters are considered as 'Flanked' is too... forgiving, I should say.

Personal Opinions
The Story: I loved the story, don't misunderstand this as anything but true. However, one thing I disliked was that your character has a much more 'defined' background. You are made to play more of a role, rather than make up your own background and have your character act more around that.

Evaluation
Give this game a try if you aren't so easily swayed by strange combat choices when it comes to cover. Pretty much everything else has improved over the previous games, including the combat for that matter.
The story is good, the characters are practically lovable when you get to know them and you can have an animal spirit.

Note for the next game HBS, I want my totem to be seen just as much as Gobbet's is. Don't be unfair on us player characters.
