I’m doing my part!

I normally make joke review for games, but I am wanting to be serious on this one, I have too much respect for this one.

WARNING: SOME MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD


First off, I want to say a thank you, a thank you to the developer team, the designers, the artists, the historians, the writers, the sound designers, and the whole of Warhorse Studios, you guys exceeded my expectations by galactic amounts, I respect your work so so much, it has changed my vision of gaming as a whole, and how much effort and struggle it must be to develop a game. I wish the best of luck to Warhorse Studios, and hope that you guys will keep creating games that change peoples lives. Furthermore, I want to say thank you to the incredible community that has sprouted from this well crafted masterpiece, they have helped me understand so much about the game, its mechanics, and how to improve myself, and better how I feel about this game, and I have so much respect for anyone who plays this, you ladies and gentlemen, do god's work. I love all of you, with the fullest of my heart, and I hope that all of you, from the team at Warhorse Studios, to the lads and lasses who play this, have a wonderful life creating happiness. I cannot recommend this game enough, and hope those who are on the verge of buying it, will, and those who want to try something new, do too.


Now, with that out of the way on to the review. When I was thinking of buying this game, I was thinking that it was going to be like any other medieval game, now that is not bad mind you, I was thinking that it was going to be similar in vein to Skyrim, which was the closest thing to a "Realistic" medieval game i had played thus far. I had seen the trailer, and a little gameplay, I was skeptical, as most of the time, it’s hard to find a game set in medieval times that does not verge on the side of absurdity. However, I was also hopeful, and bought the game, and oh boy. I was in for a treat.

When I had downloaded the game, and started it, I was immediately met with a beautifully crafted warhorse studios animation, and an extremely well executed background story, which made me realize what kind of game I was going to play. Then, after the whole intro sequence with doing errands, and the cutscene of the army massacring Skalitz and the nearby towns, of which made me tear up when your father was killed, even if we had known him for less than 10 minutes. Furthermore, after you escape Talmberg and initially fight Runt to bury your parents, it made me genuinely want to have revenge, of which, later in the game, I did, and when I did, I felt satisfaction that that scum was dead. I am Currently not finished with the game Just yet, but I will be so happy, yet sad that it will come to an end, for now.
