I went into this game with extremely low expectations. As someone who was a big fan of Borderlands 1, 2 & Tales but not a big fan of 3, I was concerned this was going to be more of what I didn't like in 3. Although I did thoroughly enjoy Tiny Tina (outside of the additional content/endgame stuff), I was still pretty concerned.

NTFTB is a mixed bag. The beginning is a bit of a slow burn as they try to introduce the characters in the funniest fashion they can. This creates many moments of "try hard" comedy, where you can tell they are really reaching for a laugh. In some cases, it falls completely flat. In others, it's a double whammy as they take an un-funny joke and extended it WAY beyond it's welcome. It's definitely a bit rough.

However, at some point along the run, some of the characters really began to grow on me. Especially the non-lead characters. There ARE many hilarious moments that I feel make this game enjoyable. From the throwback references here and there to reoccuring side characters starting to shine, there is a lot in here that is actually really good. Yes, even throughout the entire game, there are misses, the hits start to outweigh them as you get closer to the end. Although I was sponsored for about 4 hours of the run, I dove back in and finished the game with an additional five and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Although I really enjoyed the main case of Tales incredibly more, the side characters and situations in NTFTB made it something that I had a really good time playing by the end. It won't be for everyone, but if you can take a little cringe humor with the good stuff, you may really enjoy it.

Path of Exile is one of the best Free-To-Play games available. This incredibly deep and complex game has built on itself through years of patching, updates and expansions. Although you can expect to spend about $20-$40 on this game if you're playing long term (for stash tabs), by the time you get to the point you need them, you'll already have established that value well beyond what that purchase is worth. I have over 800 hours in the game and check back in almost every league with new builds and to experience the new mechanics.

Highly recommend. Does a bunch of new things and also tried and tested mechanics. A hugely fun building exploration game. Two thumbs up, a steal for $20!

This game has been an absolute joy to play.

This game has been a breath of fresh air in the RPG genre. The world, combat mechanics, voice acting and humor are all top-notch. The puzzles have been engaging and fun to do, the world has been interesting and engaging, the combat is interesting with tons of different approaches, the classes seem interesting and customizable. Granted, i'm only about 12 hours in right now but I've been enjoying the hell out of this game and plan to continue streaming it for the foreseeable future.

Also it's important to mention that inXile is on it in terms of following through with making this game a polished product. Although there are definitely some bugs and issues (including balance and technical), they already have THREE WEEKS of patch notes up and are furiously trying to get the game into a more final state.

Will add more here potentially as I move through the world but yeah... Overall? This game is unique, fun and something special.

A fantastic combination of dungeon crawling and roguelike goodness. Tons of hours of entertainment here. A solid pickup.

This is not a game. It's a poorly coded, horribly animated cash grab. Do NOT buy this game. It doesn't take long, what is there is stupid, the animations look like they were done by a drunk college student... It's horrible. Save your money. You are better off finding a wall and slamming your head against it. You may see things doing that that are more impressive than this pile of trash.

This game is awesome! Great roguelike :D
