If you are the type of person that doesn’t like to read a long review, then I will provide you with a short description which properly conveys the message of my full-review.

DON’T BUY THIS GAME expecting the same type of game play as the previous F.E.A.R installments. HOWEVER IF YOU LIKE THROWING AWAY MONEY AND PLAYING A BADLY PORTED COD STYLE FPS FOR P_SSIES THAT LIKE TO HIDE BEHIND COVER 90% OF THE TIME I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

OK, now that this is said, I shall begin with my full-review of the game.

First off, I would like to point out that I have played both F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R 2 and had a blast of a time while playing them. I really loved the style of the games, and I would say that F.E.A.R. 1 is the best out of the entire series.

Now onto F.E.A.R 3 …
The game starts with some nice cut-scenes that manage to get me all hyped up to play another F.E.A.R. game. As soon as these cut-scenes end I get the mission to escape from a prison. At that point I could already tell that the game has a different feel to it, like it wasn’t as dark as the previous games. But I didn’t care about that and continue playing. So after walking out of my prison cell the game starts explaining the controls and after killing a guard I get my first gun. Now I am ready to once again become a bad 4ss MOF0 and bust some caps, or so I thought…

NOPE NOPE NOPE.jpeg; As soon as the action starts and I end up in my first shootout the game explains that you need to use
Q to hide. Now.. hiding isn’t that bad I mean it’s logical to hide to avoid ending up like Swiss cheese. But this game brings it to a whole new level, the being a little p_ssy level. The map is obviously designed so you have to hide behind every other f_cking box. And as soon as you get shot, you lose an unknown amount of health and you can simply regenerate it by hiding for 5 f_cking seconds.

So where is the challenge to managing your health by using the med kits like in the previous games? And why are we hiding all the f_cking time, point man used to be a bad 4ss.

OK this is also the moment I start to feel like the game wasn’t developed for the PC and is actually a cheap port. So even with all of that going on I continue my escape from prison whilst encountering several shootouts and getting annoyed about the whole continuously hiding behind boxes and having the unnatural feeling of playing a bad port. This goes on for a while and I finally decide that this game is a piece of sh!t.. and I got better games to play.

So how did the fear series end up with this piece of sh!t? It’s because this game wasn’t even developed by the same company that developed the initial fear games. NOPE not developed by Monolith but by Day 1 Studios.

Anyhow thank the seven gods that I bought this game in a steam sale and did not have to pay full price. Because after just about 15 minutes of play time I decided it was a piece of sh_t and uninstalled the game. And I didn’t even get to die once.. So I guess you are practically immortal in this game as long as you hide behind boxes.
