Really wanted to like this game, preordered it as soon as it was available on GMG and got burned like many others. Some of the major issues I'll list so you can decide if this money pit is worth your time too!
Pros:
- Environment/world looks great
- Characters are unique
- Combat system has the opportunity to be great
- You can kill innocent creatures to increase your darkness

Cons:
- Combat is super unbalanced, if you get a good rifle you'll basically never use melee again, no matter what class you picked at the start.
- Melee is slow and unrewarding even if you have near max strength. Never feels properly weighted.
- The Super Wung-Fu mode has less weight to it than normal attacks, you'll feel like you're hitting enemies with wet sandbag gloves.
- Slowmo AT THE END OF EVERY FIGHT will become incredibly annoying after the first few fights.
- Narrator having to translate every NPC conversation makes the ordeal take 3 times longer than it should. I found myself just skipping dialog because it was annoying/boring and unengaging.
- Also the narrator, extremely annoying.
- The camera has a tendency to stop tracking with the mouse, just kinda locks onto a position and gives you trouble if you want to move it.
- Quests are super forgettable, I doubt you'll even remember what tribe you picked at the start.

I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting but these were the worst parts I cannot forget!

For sure a must buy, just wait until they fix the crashing issues.
Works for me for about 15 minutes before I crash, I'd recommend just playing other games until this one is for sure fixed.

This is a pretty damn easy game to get lost in. I enjoy organization games like this and I think my favorite part is that you can disassemble anything you have built and get the full materials back, this allows you to change the layout of your "base" until you inevitably fall asleep in your chair.

Ignore all the negative reviews about the price hikes, Wildcard stated that the price hike was coming weeks before it did. Kids crying over that and downvoting the game really need to stop. They're pushing away potential customers from a great game with a ton of replayability.

I've dabbled a bit in the game. Completed the main story, played through the Sky Fortress DLC and now I plan on jumping into the new Mech DLC.

Personally I've really enjoyed the game and never had problems when it comes to memory leaks or random crashing. I'm running an i7 3770k and an EVGA 980 ti SC, so that could contribute to why I have no issues running. But most of these negative reviews are because their system componets are sub par and they probably expected the game to run at a smooth 60 fps on ultra. If you don't have good parts then you won't be able to play, welcome to the world of PC gaming. If it's truly that bad then just play on a console, it would probably work better for you there anyway.

Now then, on to the actual gameplay review (Which is what these reviews are for)
The gameplay can be a bit wonky in some places, I mostly noticed it around melee and trying to grapple some enemies. But that's normal Just Cause gameplay and wouldn't feel the same without it. The car handling mechanics are miles ahead of what they used to be. Bigger explosions and a lot more toys to play with. The Glider suit feels improved as well, as far as handling goes, you can also wingsuit across the entire island if you're good with that grapple hook. Lotta newly added vehicles and aircraft bring a lot of new fun to the table. I didn't have any issues when it came to story or side missions, the glider trials can be a real pain in the ass though.

TL:DR - Overall I'd say this is a nearly perfect game with some minor hiccups here and there. Gameplay wise it's what you'd expect from Just Cause, widespread chaos and destruction (The Bavarium Nuke launcher is tons of fun >.>)

If your system cannot handle the game then don't rate it negative, either buy a better system or go to consoles for budget playing. This is a great game for those of us who can handle it.

Been playing this a lot. I had 24 hour duty on Monday when the game dropped. I literally played from the moment it was available until the next day, didn't regret that choice at all.

There are a few bugs I've noticed. The first big one was when I was fighting the Griffin and he flew through the windmill and off into the distance... Never came back... Had to load and start again -.- I got my ass whooped by that Griffin too, I'd only recommend playing this game on the hardest or second hardest difficulty, it makes it so much more fun. Also, have you seen the hair...?

One thing I will say that pisses me off is the whole dying system. Sure it's my fault for playing on the hardest difficulty, but the death system is very punishing. The game will only auto save if you're on a quest of some sort, if you use the fast travel system, or if you manually save. So basically if you're going to explore, save often... Otherwise you'll get pissed off when you realize how far back you are.

Amazing game all in all, I'm about to jump back into it.

I can run Watch Dogs maxed out on my laptop. I attempt to play this and it literally stutters it's balls off and me getting killed by the dinosaur I never saw coming... Leads me to think this game is a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I won't be able to play it until I get to my desktop. I did cut some wood though, that was pretty nice!

TL:DR
Invisible dinosaurs and real time woodcutting action simulator
