As long as you're not looking to augment the game to new levels of crazy, you can ignore all these other mentions of "game-breaking content." It is amazing in its own right even 7 years after its initial release. Strongly recommended.

Lots of fun to play especially with friends, however i would recommend playing it on a console edition first as players on the pc version are much better.
