Incredible game!
Buy and play it now while you still get to play as Geralt.

Because in the next one, you don't get to play as Batman.
You have to play as Robin.

was never really familiar with prior clothing/armor scheme, but that seems to be the main complaint.
if you haven't played previously, then there's nothing you're missing.
definitely a thumbs up.

Good game with too much overpriced DLC.

Reminds me of playing the original Civ for the first time.
Utterly addicting, and staying up way too late too many times.

Edit (addition): Also reminiscent of original Age of Empires or World of Warcraft (RTS, not the MMO).
Chopping trees, gathering resources, expanding the map.

This game checks so many boxes for me.

So good, combat/travel brings back gold box D&D memories (with hugely improved graphics of course) .
It's been my latest go to, hours inflated due to afk. but 250-300(?) are real.

With active pause and a ton of scenarios, this is a classic game done right.

Finally finished the game. Loved it. Just for the record, I also loved the original Commando series. I really enjoyed Partisans 1941. I tried (several times) but just could not get into Shadow Tactics. If your tastes are similar, then I guarantee you will love this game.
The story is great (there was actually a "wow" moment, and I can't remember the last time I've experienced that in a game.)
The abilities for each character are well thought out and well balanced.
The maps for each mission range from neat to awe inspiring.
Just now completed the main campaign, but I'm actually looking forward to completing the additional challenges, as well as achievement farming (which I typically ignore).
And all of this doesn't take into account the additional DLC, which I have yet to purchase (but intend to).
Thanks to everyone involved in this, it's a throwback to past classics as well as a masterpiece in its own right.

If you liked Commandos (wow, I'm old) then you will LOVE Partisans. More of the same, with some light base building, resource management, upgrades, etc. A great story. Interesting, distinct characters. Highly recommended.
