The only Assassin's Creed game I ever bothered to 100%. That should tell you something about the quality of this game. It really breathed some life into a dying series. While the combat is snooze-level easy and consists entirely of mashing counter at the correct time then eviscerating everyone in your immediate viscinity, whats left is still a compelleing and interesting story, and most of all an incredible world to travel around in in your ship. Instead of being some generic assassin with generic motivations, you are Edward Kenway, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pirate. This game sells the fanatasy of being a pirate captain and delivers on it like no other game ever has. I would add the cautionary caveat that this game is not for people who hate the assasin's creed series. It still has infurtiating tail missions abound, and boring collectibles and synch/vista syndrome. Those who hhate those things may wish to avoid this game. But don't discount this game because it has assassin's creed on the box. This thing is closer to an open world pirate captain sandbox than it is to the ass creed formula. Absolutely recommend this game. Its no masterpiece, but I got more enjoyment out of this game than the entire ezio trilogy combined. For me, this is the best Assassin's creed in recent memory.

Has more content than most AAA full price release titles by a factor of 3. A whole new land to explore, fantastic storyline and sidequests, this "DLC" could be sold for a full price $59.99 and I honestly wouldn't be complaining, I'd be happy to buy it. CD Projekt delivers once again with hands down the best DLC ever made by any developer. I don't think I'll ever be able to see DLC in the same light again. This is the new baseline for how to make good DLC. They could probably even sell it standalone its that good. Absolutely recommend.

The mods are fun.

Great FPS with solid mechanics, a good story (nowhere near BioShock levels but good nevertheless), Is my second best game of 2014.

Painfully average. I'm just bored.
