I couldn't get into this game. 3 hours of gameplay and I never found the hook. The music is also too repetitive and starts being both depressing and frustrating. The UI also gets between the player and the game rather than helping with immersion.

I am likely not the target audience for this game and will return to my factory games and simulators and stop taking recommendations from Youtubers.

I understand why this sort of shallow puzzle type game largely died out in the early 00s - there's not really enough content or variety to be interesting. I'd have enjoyed this if I were 10 years old though, or if I was nostalgic for it, but I'm not either of those things.

Thsi game is a tedious Terraria-like game. There are far too many drops requiring constant inventory management, bosses that move around so you literally have a moving target, and achievements which amount to "Play for thousands or hours or cheat".

If you like automation or factory games I can't recommend Satisfactory enough. Unlike many other games in the genre this game has a story and multiple different progression trees, with one even relying on exploration of the environment.

Ore nodes are infinite and set in rate so unlike say, Factorio, this game is not about maximising belts and constantly adding new miners but instead balancing belts and utilising the resources to maximum efficiency. These rates are somewhat fixed (but can be increased through technology to a point).

10/10 game.

The controller support is so hilariously awful I am giving the otherwise very fun game a negative review. Devs fix the controller support or delist from Steam, this is ridiculous.

A fun terraforming/crafting/automation game.

If you find this game slow at any point it means you need to focus on efficiency and automation.

If you like the world of Harry Potter and want to explore it in the Victorian era this game is worth a look, also if you like fairly generic open world explore and collectathons this game is for you.

If you like neither it is not.

Didn't enjoy.

This game is broken in so many ways that it's not fun. I write this as I see my team mate stuck under an enemy corpse while the other enemies walk and attack him through it. The base idea is fun, the bugs and balance ruin it.

And yes I can complete Helldive without issue. It's just not FUN completing the missions.

Interstellar war is fun, but I'm going to use this review to rebuke negative reviews instead;

A lot of the negative reviews surrounding this game are about price and I understand that this game is expensive but it's a niche game with constant free updates that these DLC essentially pay for. If you have a friend who can afford the DLC then you can, in multiplayer games, receive most of the DLC benefits for free. If you don't have that then you can buy only a limited subset of the DLC that interest you when they're discounted.
