Tsugumi Ohba is a famous Japanese manga author, with popular works such as "Death Note" and "Bakuman." You would think such creator with famous series such as these would be pretty famous, right? Certainly no JK Rowling or George Lucas, but he'd at least be fairly popular. But that couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, "Tsugumi Ohba" is actually a pen-name, and the actual identity of the beloved author remains anonymous. Many fans have come up with their own theories as to who he may be, with some suggesting he might be "Hiroshi Gamō." Unfortunately, all theories and speculations ultimately fall short and there's never been any convincing theory, until today. After a careful analysis and much of my time spent researching, I've uncovered something never once thought of before: Tsugumi Ohba is none other than rapper, producer, and hip-hop artist Kanye West. I am sure you're thinking that you'd have to be crazy to produce such hypothesis, but in the words of Kanye West, "Name one genius that ain't crazy."

Tsugumi Ohba as a Japanese writer and Kanye's connection with Japan.

Throughout his career, Kanye West has had multiple collaborations with many Japanese artists. Most notable of those collaborations is with artist Takashi Murakami. In 2007, Kanye West worked with Murakami on his album "Graduation," illustrating the album cover for Kanye West. In the future, Kanye and Murakami would collaborate again to design the album cover for "Kids See Ghosts." But Kanye's work with Japanese artists does not go as far as album covers though, and they've played a role in his music as well. Examples of songs with Japanese elements include Bound 2 and I am a god.

Bittersweet Poetry is the 15th addition of the album Graduation, releasing exclusively in Japan. It's strange for an American artist to release a track exclusive to Japan, right? Not so if there were a strong relationship between the two, which seems to be the case.

**Currently Residing in Japan.**As of 2023, Kanye West resides in Japan. Who else does? Tsugumi Ohba.

In summary, the evidence linking Kanye West to Japan, including his admiration for Japanese culture, collaborations with Japanese artists, use of Japanese music in his work, and his current residence in Japan, supports the theory that he could be Tsugumi Ohba. While speculative, these connections add an intriguing layer to the mystery surrounding Ohba's true identity. This also explains the differences between Kanye as an American and Ohba as supposedly a Japanese writer.

Death Notes story tells a similar story to Kanye West, with Misa Amane is possibly a portrayal of Taylor Swift.

Death Note, arguably Tsugumi Ohbas magnum opus, features it's protagonist Light Yagami. Light Yagami is a straight-A model student who finds the death note and becomes ego-driven in his pursuit for power. On paper he sounds pretty different from Kanye, who isn't known for his intellect in the same way as Light, and he doesn't exactly represent the perfect model person. But there are many parallels between Kanye West and Light Yagami, and while the two seem like unlikely suspects for a comparison, there is lots to be uncovered. Firstly, both figures possess unyielding ambitions, and are believers in their own exceptionalism. Kanye West with his grandiose statements and self-proclaimed status as a musical genius, mirrors Light Yagami's god-like aspirations and his desire to reshape the world where he rules as a god. Both Light and Kanye also are very charismatic people, and tend to attract people towards them and captivate them with their influence. These parallels are quite surprising, and it would make sense if Kanye had actually written Death Note with Light being a stand in for himself, in a much different setting
