TLDR: Wait for this to go on sale. Not worth $30, not even worth $10.

240 hour review + after major patch. Level 94, Very minor QoL improvements, yet they didn't fix any of the critical issues, didn't fix droprates or correct economy after duping. Mapping is still boring and requires extreme grinding and crafting to setup "juiced maps" and maybe you'll be able to find some end game bosses every 30-50 maps every other week or two, but no usable loot drops during any of this. They improved some visibility issues, yet didn't touch coop play being impossible at end game. Even with just 1 extra player, its hard to see enemies and their attacks in the ability spam. Good luck with 6.

200 hour review: Level 91 after all this time for almost a week now, just endlessly farming and grinding the same "maps". With little to no better loot or currency dropping. Way too grindy, and should've been able to reach level 100 long ago. Do not recommend. Entire game is structured on keeping you playing, grinding and buying basic QoL features such as storage and inventory management. They're not even putting out cool skins to buy.

1 Month Edit: Release a game in early access beta, do 1 minor patch and go on a multi-week vacation? Leaving the game with crashes/un-optimization, balance issues, economy trouble, and now a users system hacking epidemic? If you wanted this years holiday money, release it in November! Or do the right thing and delay it until you get back in January.

Original Review:

Pros: Day 1 early access is more stable and has reliable servers than D4 a year 1/2 after launch.
Higher quality graphics with better performance and features.
Challenging gameplay, not just ability spam. Think top down Dark souls/Remnant.
Massive build variety.
6 player parties. Coop is a MASSIVE improvement to POE1.

Cons: NO character creation. Not even a subpar "here's 4 faces to choose"You have to play as a generic clone and get/pay money for armor cosmetics. No way to represent yourself in game and/or hide helmet.
Kinda dark, which is a nice atmosphere. I personally would prefer a tad more color to the world.
Movement is slow and not as fluid as D4 (as of starting act).
Can be a steep learning curve for some.
Borderline predatory micro transactions. Requiring paying for storage still? Extra character slots? Data storage isn't costly in 2024, this is just greed. Sell us cosmetics we want to buy instead! :S

This game uses the same kernel level anti-cheat protection as Valorant/League of Legends, Call of Duty, etc. People are either uninformed, or they just have double standards with Sinophobia. Which being the first 2 are also Chinese owned shows how uninformed people are.

Game crashed twice in an hour of playing.
Character creator is very limited, which is extremely disappointing for an "MMO", so you can't easily make a unique character that feels right for you.
Controls and combat don't feel clean or fluid
Horrible monetization system.
Graphics are alright,
UI is mid.

People use Discord, Twitter, Instagram, etc everyday that takes far more user data than any game. Yet legal terminology in a games T&C that exist for the industry is what people care about? Either uninformed, or they just have double standards with Sinophobia.

Game works, but the controls are "skippy", making it unplayable. This is at least on MNK, controller players may have better luck, but then again, whats the point in buying a PC just to use a controller? Just get a console for this game.

Typical Korean dev game heavy on the monetization and locking game elements behind things like void bosses. Greatly improved from the technical access and betas, but that's about it. There's way better Destiny/Warframe clones out there. Give it a try if you must, but trust your fellow gamers reviews. This ain't worth spending time or your money on just to have servers shutdown for 7+ hours for "maintenance".

Pros: New content, new weapons, new rings, new amulets, new relics new enemies and new bosses. Took about 1 1/2 hours to do the story with some "only in Remnant" fun and challenging boss fights. Now its just replaying for (assuming) alternative endings and finding all new items.

Cons: No new features except updated DLSS and XeSS. Didn't even update UE5 to a latest version. Let us view or change loadouts while dead and spectating. Let us look at the map and guide our friends while dead or ping on map. Let us research or filter items by effects, damage types, etc. Build upon the game please.

Simply a bad pay to win game. If you want to play for free, you'll only get past the tutorial before running into a rank wall of players with characters loaded with higher paid stats.

Controls feel bad, UI is horrendous and hard to navigate. And it's still very unoptimized mess after all these years. 5800x3d, RTX 3080, and 32 Gb ram, and I'm getting 95fps maxed out, but it feels like 25. :(

Had high hopes for this game from playing in all the early access phases. Unfortunately with the recent mass layoffs of just under half of the studio, it seems this game is on its way out already, or will have very slow and limited content going forward.
