It's a decent game, but with bad devs. The combat system, altough full of cheese at high levels, is more interesting than in chiv 2 in my opinion. For the first hours of their playtime, new players will find theirselves unable to do anything while a 200 level midget beats them down with a rake, but it'll get better rather quickly. If you are looking for a melee game with an in depth combat system, the game is still worth it if it's on sale. That being said, don't buy it expecting frequent updates.

Only way to have fun is to make someone else miserable. Incredible.

On a more serious note:
The gameplay in itself is decent. It has some flaws here and there (especially later on in the game) but it's enjoyable to some extent. The problem here are the developers. War thunder has some of the worst (if not the worst) devs I've ever seen. They don't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about their players and will go to incredible lengths to guarantee maximum profits, even if that includes doing some incredibly sketchy and borderline illegal stuff. The grind is horrible in this game, and it's only purpose is to make the players spend money on premium time and -vehicles.

Only way I can recommend this game is for people who only enjoy early to mid 1900s tanks (and planes) and don't care about the modern top tier vehicles. If you play the game, don't spend money on it. The devs don't care about you at all so you as a customer should not support them either.

So do I recommend the game? No. But if you choose to play it, make sure to play it very casually and as free to play as possible.

Unironically the best battle royale there is.

One of the few survival games I have the motivation to play solo. The game has an incredible amount of content for a 1gb early access title, and for 16€, it's an absolute steal.

So, I gave this game a thumbs up but it seems like I'll have to change it.

Don't get me wrong the gameplay itself is good and I thoroughly enjoy it, this game may be the best rally game I've played. The problem here is codemasters.

This game came out with a suprisingly small amount of tracks and cars considering that the game has a price tag of 54€. Well for that price you'd think that future tracks and cars would be free, right? Wrong. Every single track and car that have been added you have to pay extra for and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. First they made the deluxe edition and the season pass which in my opinion are already too much, but that wasn't even enough. They absolutely had to add some kind of super deluxe edition that gives you access to further dlcs because hey, why wouldn't you cash out as much as you can? As it stands now the game has over 100€ worth of dlcs which is absolutely unacceptable for a 54€ rally game.

So in conclusion: The gameplay is very good and enjoyable but don't buy the game. If you want a rally game buy the original Dirt Rally from g2a or some other site so you minimize the amount of money codemasters get from your purchase.
