Short, sweet, to the point, especially if you are an amnesia veteran. Amazing game design, great story as well. I haven't been a huge fan of the sequels since dark descent, but enjoyed them, and this game is just top tier. The atmosphere is incredible. Horror is on 10. Everything is jam packed into a nice 6-10 hour experience depending on your pace. 3 hours after you have beaten it. Nightmare mode is like nothing else and absolutely recommended, solid 9/10

Jokes aside, this is the hands down one of the best ghost hunting sims out there. It takes some patience, which is oddly satisfying, but once it takes off this game can amp up to 100. Especially in the late game. The more you progress, the more crazy ♥♥♥♥ begins to happen too, and it gives a nice flow to the game overall. The dev has CLEARLY put a lot into this game, and if you're someone who doesn't like phas or any other ghost hunting game because the ghost can kill, you can't die! Easily one of my faves of this year.

I really enjoyed this in early access for its potential, and am now editing my review because it got released very quickly.

The new maps are cool, but my game somehow has issues now, especially on the newer maps. Anytime the ghost comes close to me my frames drop to about 5-10 frames. The "puzzle" on the bedlam map is confusing and a lot of it just doesn't feel complete. There still isn't any new info on about 1/3 of the ghosts, they just don't have traits written. I don't know if the devs are just stepping away, but there is still so much work to be done with this game. Again, this still has a lot to work with, but the frame drops and lack of information for the ghosts has had me putting it down for a while. It sucks to see, but just hoping for more.

Despite this game having some simple game flaws, like NPCs just popping in and out of existence, and some of the world feeling a bit empty since its sort of that GTA open world style, it has a really really solid foundation as a game. The combat is a little less than good, but the game does a great job of making the HP lovecraft lore come to life. The voice acting is great, the story itself is the best I have seen in a Lovecraftian type of game in a while, it ♥♥♥♥♥ all over the Call of Cthulhu game that came out before it. The mind palace mechanics and thought mechanics are reminiscent of Disco Elysium, and the sanity system is really really great, it pulls off the same sort of vibes that Amnesia the Dark Descent did. Overall, this game is instantly a classic for me, despite it's flaws, definitely recommend.

Best game ever created, it is worth buying VR for this game alone, I know that is bold but this is the future of gaming <3

Absolutely one of my favorite strategy shooters. You die a lot, the community can be absolute trash at times, but you can find yourself a good server with good people and play to have the most fun! It takes a decent grind to not die repeatedly at first but I wholeheartedly recommend for people who are into shooters.

So I haven't played this game in quite a while, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you guys really upped the ante with this most recent update. The clunky parts of the game have been completely fixed and I can absolutely see how much work you guys have put into this game. So Immersive and so scary at moments, I am hooked and will absolutely beat this game in the coming days. Amazing job. This feels like a weird cousin to STALKER and its lovely. Recommend this for anyone who wants a really atmospheric FPS that encourages looting just about everything and running like a pansy when necessary.

Never in my life have I played a top down game that has made me ♥♥♥♥ my pants so much WITHOUT jump scares. this game whoops your ass and makes sure that it teaches you how to survive because...jesus christ you need to run most of the time in the latter half of the game. Randomly generated and does a really great job introducing you into the world straight from the get go. Save your ammo and constantly repair your items, just try to scavenge as much as you can. Also, fun tip i found out after playing, the chests that are at the wolf's camp in the silent forest, there is no combination in the game, the game devs put the code in the actual .bat game save files, totally saves some time when you get to the old woods/swamps. I wouldn't recommend using all your ammo in the silent woods...you're going to need them later.

Overall, one of the best atmospheric survival horror games i have ever played!
