I have some hangups with the dlc but overall it's a blast to play through. There are some weird choices that hold it back a bit such as regions no longer being connected, or the fact that it's clearly a little rushed, but they don't impact the experience too much. I think it would have benefited from a little more development time, but what we have is still great and it'll get even better as patches and updates come in.

UFO 50 is an absolutely incredible collection of retro experiences that easily stands as one of the best indie games of all time. It is a testament to the boundless talent of the dev team and EASILY the best indie game to come out of 2024. Every game in this collection could be a standalone title, what a fantastic experience.

This game is really awesome and I'm surprised I don't see more people talking about it! It's got a super charming artstyle and is a really fun game. If you want goofy character interactions with an eccentric visual style I can't recommend this game more.

A really fun DLC that adds tons of new content to the game. The new regions and creatures added to existing regions are all fantastic, and playing Rain World with the Downpour expansion (More Slugcats specifically) is definitely the quintessential way to play. It does suffer from being a little confusing in its presentation, as rather than being an official expansion, it appears as though it is a collection of unofficial mods in the remix section. As well as that, while the new slugcat campaigns are really fun and add lots of new lore to the game, I found that there's just a teeny bit too much backtracking. Slugcats that are very mechanically different help combat this, as re-treading outskirts as Rivulet or Saint for example has its novelties, but when you're playing as a re-skinned survivor that can craft (Gourmand), having to repeat regions seen in the base game campaigns isn't super exciting. All the new content is fantastic, I just wish it existed in its own realm, almost more separate from the base game. That being said, while it does make the new slugcat campaigns, the addition of new content across every campaign makes even those such as The Survivor much more fulfilling, and I wholeheartedly recommend playing Rain World for the first time with Downpour enabled, and giving the other slugcat campaigns a go if you find that you love this game as much as I do. Though the sheer amount of repetition can make the new campaigns slightly exhausting, so I'd only recommend them if you seriously love this game and want to spend more time in its world.

it's crazy that a game known for being greedy somehow got even greedier

this game is hard. i just beat it right at the 100 hour mark. very fun but it really likes to punish you. really good game though, highly recommend.

do not give up on this game. it will totally destroy your will with its harsh environments, but if you keep pushing through it's all worth it. absolutely amazing game and one of my favourites of all time. I could not recommend more, just make sure you're ready for a challenge!

fun dlc that feels fresh. I personally preferred it to the first dlc but that's just me. still a lot of fun gameplay for the low asking price

fun little map that adds a handful of new characters and items. it's not game-changing or anything but for the price it's definitely worth it!
