I want to love this game, but it's one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in a game
I love the look and feel of the world, but as a game it feels increasingly empty as a hollow experience mostly padding itself out with painfully drawn out grind, terrible controls, and RNG pretending to be a skill curve

The visuals are beautiful and the world building is solid, but after beating this game all I can say is the gameplay is a major slog and by the end I was just ready to be done

Enemy balance is non-existent and the combat is not satisfying for how much its forced down your throat, especially with enemies that manifest out of literally nowhere in obscene amounts, I found myself sprinting through most of them because they weren't even fun to fight after the fifth spider bot spawning a million suicide bomb bots that for some reason have as much HP as a real enemy

Tl;dr cool devs and alright game

A bit short for the price, clocking at roughly 4-5 hours if you're not rushing, and pacing is a bit all over the place, but I still enjoyed my experience. The game works on a series of levels, where you need to reach the exit of each level, trying to get as far as you can before things start turning into monsters. About halfway through the game, it becomes less "run and hide" and more super meat boy with you having to teleport through hordes of saw blades and naruto run away from monsters because hiding usually ends with them camping on you with a hiding spot that slowly disappears.

Pros:
* Puzzles have a nice amount of non-linearity and being able to use items from old levels rewards staying alive by sometimes letting you bypass puzzles entirely
* The devs have already made a number of quality of life improvements and are adding more to work out some balancing issues
* The art style and sound track are really good and nail the atmosphere of cutesy villages and bad trip nightmares

Cons:
* Once you get a feel for it the game is pretty short and only lasts longer if you die a lot
* Not much replayability factor, no level select, no secrets to find, and a lot of levels exist just for exposition
* Nothing in the animated trailer is really present in the game, so if you're expecting something like a Promised Neverland kind of story, it's not quite that

Overall, I'd probably recommend getting when its on sale, or full price if you like supporting devs who care about feedback and listen

Dear god, I honestly have only played this game for about 5 minutes and I can tell it's terrible. The character moves like an 80 year old man with arthritis, and even the slightest movement sends this guys head wobbling like a freaking bobblehead toy. The mouse movement is god awful too, theres a giant delay in the motion between moving the mouse and the screen, badly breaking the immersion, and looking around is clunky, wanna look down to the left? Well the character will spin at mach 5 and when you try to look down it moves at the pace of a turtle. The flashlight is far off I can't even see anything I try to look at. If you like nauseating whiplash, inconsistent audio, and movement that makes the Big Daddies of Bioshock look like olympic speed-runners then this game is for you.
