I cannot recommend the game in it's current position

I bought this game last year and streamed it, it was honestly interesting and left me wanting to see where the story and the chapters are gonna go. But as of today when seeing that Chapter 2 got released for double the price of the 1st chapter (that has now gone FTP) . I cant help but feel cash grabbed, i mean i had this sneaking suspicion since their whole merch store idea and the NFT selling but i brushed that off, and then seeing the allegations and their poorly done apology to an animator kid (i wont go into further detail) just...idk but i personally cant support these developers further and i believe neither should you.

Yes, the game looks great, the story is interesting and makes ya wanna see further where its leading and the gameplay and whatnot, but i highly suggest looking into the stuff i mentioned previously on the devs and their practices. I'm sure Chapter 2 is actually great...but atleast gimme back my money for the now FTP game if ya want me to get your next chapter, Telltale atleast doesnt charge ya for the 1st episodes.

Found out about the game thanks to IronPineapple on youtube to fill the Souls-like Niche i was craving, but was happy to see how much more unique it was.
Heck its more of a combination fo Zelda-like + Hollow-like

Gameplay
The movement felt really great and fluid although i did have some sketchy moments parkouring but those were rare.
The combat while simplistic and worked well, i wish there was more of a wind up or perhaps a slower attack speed from enemies to parry them, because the parrying seemed alot more precise and there didnt feel like alot of time to haave the chance to try/perform it.
The bosses were well, not really hard at all, if anything they were kinda meh till like the very end of the game, which they seemed more interesting to fight.
Felt like a really nice seratonin boost to do the sidequests and collect different dyes and weapons, (I'm a sucker for the details and cosmetics)

Characters
Memorable, interesting....but more importantly... hecking adorable

Story
Very interesting, well developed and had a sense of depth, but then again it wasnt anything very special (ik sounds weird) . even the story felt like if ya tooks bits from like Zelda: Twilight Princess' story and combined with bits of Hollow Knights story. I was invested.

Overall
Despite some of the meh parts of the game, i was invested and had fun with this. It's wont everyones cup of tea, but if you're a fan of a lil Zelda Flair, or enjoyed and want something like Hollow Knight, i really recommend this, this was such an enjoyable experience.

I didn't know evading my taxes would get me in this amount of trouble. Thanks to Turnip boy commits tax evasion i will do my duty as a good citizen and contribute to the state treasury

To that i say i can, because many of us know of this and have experienced it. People can vouch for me.

So not only can you not move unless you hold the X button (on xbox controlls) but as soon as you jump, you fly off to Mars faster than Elon Musk could dream of.

I've no doubt that this game is good to play and all but if it remains this unplayable as oppose to its console brethren, then sorry, but you might aswell get this on a Playstation or someting instead of on PC

Solid game. the devs are putting up great updates to keep the game fresh and interesting.
So many synergies (i'd say to rival Isaacs) that are just fun and broken to try out.
I can definetly see myself spending a couple hundred hours on this, and its not fully released yet, but when it does...oh boi do i see fun times

What caught my eye is just the style, makes me think of a DS game or something and boi it sure felt like one

This game is by far the most calming and chillest game i've ever played
If you're lookin' for some peace and quality time whilst like still wanting to like play a game or something then this is def worth the money.

graphics wise the style it's going for is something i don't see quite alot, but it does it well.

controls pretty well, although the only thing i found finicky at time and that's the camera, because as you glide like high up the mountain or over the water, the angle was very awkward and disorienting, barely knew where i wanted to.
but the issue wasn't that big of a deal and didn't happen often so it was ok to me

The characters are cute and lovable, some mini like side stories which was cool
Not much said at the beginning for a main story except your girl needing phone reception, but once you get to the top you can like connect the dots and tbh was kinda felt wholesome if ya thought about it.

Overall if you enjoy a good soundtrack and a chill exploratory experience, then this game is worth it, and its pretty cheap too
