A fun game but plagued by a VERY aggressive pay model. While I do recommend it just know this is an entirely fake free to play model, it's extremely aggressive in how it gets you to spend money to basically do anything. I would give it a bad review but I figure I would just inform others that, while it is a fun game, it is a horrible policy. Do not expect this game to have a long life but enjoy it while you can

It's a great game, deserves more praise. Yes it can be a little simple in terms of the survival mechanics and the legion battles but the turn based mechanics and the story are both excellent. Just plain fun.

Incredible game. The deckbuilding might not be on par with a game like Slay the Spire, but in all honesty the deckbuilding takes a backseat to the story at some point, and the mystery that revolves around it.

This game is amazing. The twists and turns it takes are exhilarating and while act 1 is most people's favorite, and rightly so the atmosphere is top notch, act 3 has some of the most inventive bosses I've seen in a game.

Kudos to the creators, I also loved Pony Island and the Hex. PLEASE make more in this universe.

the best value for your money on steam. Tabletop simulator has the most content of any single game that can come to mind and likely one of the best if not the best community workshops.

Early Access Review
despite some minor flaws such as an occasional crash and periodic random frame drop, this game is excellent as a WW2 sim. The community is large enough to be sustainable for it's 50 on 50 maps, which are mostly all well designed save. In fact, only one map I can think of is unbearable, Purple Heart Lane, but the better maps like Omaha Beach make up for in in spades.

The gunplay is quite smooth. Granted, as with any more hardcore shooter, there are many times you will die and many of those times you will have virtually no idea where you die from. However, that is the name of the game. It is extremely satisfying when you do manage to break through the fierce defense of the enemy or put up a stellar iron wall yourself. My only real complaint is with the suppression system. When fired at, you tend to have a very blurry screen and it makes it extremely difficult to aim. I find this particularly annoying when faced with random sprays from tanks/automatic weapons that suppress you just for happening to fire in your general direction. However, I do not think this ruins the gunplay at all.

The squad's system is very well put together. You need many roles in order to be successful. There's the officer, who is paramount with his ability to place outposts for your squad to spawn on, being the only one that can do so and thus able to single handedly move your squad into superior positions for flanks and defenses. There's the medic, anti-tank, assault, automatic rifleman, rifleman, and machine gunner who are self-explanatory. The engineer is more useful to the overall commander, who needs them to provide nodes in which he can gather resources to call in major boons to the force. The support unit is also very helpful, providing supplies for your squad to build role-specific minor squad-based boons. I haven't felt a role was useless yet, though tend to settle on the superior squad having an officer, engineer, medic, support, anti-tank, and either rifleman for his ammo packs or machine gunner for defensive positions to fill out the 6 man limit.

All in all, this game is very good despite it's minor flaws and I highly recommend it!

Very good game, and actually unique! Rewarding puzzles that are just the right level of difficult (Except you, Buggsy's hidden Monstermon card. You took forever). Worth the low asking price!
