ゲームの難易度については調整可能で、簡単にすれば多数いるパーティーメンバーを好みで選んでも十分に戦うことができます。ボスも、必殺技や後述のクオーツを工夫すれば、ゴリ押しでも倒せてしまう歯ごたえになるので、シリーズファンの方はややむずかしめでやることをオススメします。
バトルはターン制になっており、「リンク」という仲間と連携して攻撃をする要素があり。
敵にはそれぞれ体勢（斬・突・射・剛）に耐性があり、苦手なもので攻撃すると「崩し」が発生します。
で、「崩し」が発生するとリンクしている仲間が追撃や回復・かばったりしてくれます。
これを上手に活用することで敵を効率よく倒せたり、「リンク」を繰り返していくと仲間との絆が深まり、より強力なサポートをしてもらえたりするので便利でした。一方で、育成面では不満があり。
オーブメント（FF10でいうスフィア版のちっこいの）にクオーツというパーツ（FF10でいうスフィア）をはめて、キャラクターの能力や技を設定するのですが、シリーズおなじみの「属性値」がなくなってしまったのです。
本作からシリーズをスタートされる方にはわかりやすいとおもいますが、シリーズファンの方だとクオーツの組み合わせを考える楽しみがなくなってしまったのはちょっと残念かなと。また、おなじクラスの仲間はたくさんいるのですが、章ごとに使用できるキャラクターがある程度決まっており、終盤にならないとお気に入りのキャラクターオンリーでプレイできないのは残念。

私としては不満点が多いものの、軌跡シリーズの暖かみは健在で一応楽しめたので、面白さは★4とし、評価を★3としました。
次回作にも期待しますが、不安材料も多すぎですね。特に、グラフィックは使い回しされそうな気がしますし.
しかし今のところ、何らかの思惑に導かれてばかりでリィン君自身は決断はしても道を選べてはいない感もあるので、その辺は次回作に期待かなあ。いつまでも、昔の人が定めた宿命に乗っかってるだけってのも癪ですしね。
個人的にはシリーズのグランド主人公だと思っているエステル・ヨシュアが、とうとう出てこなかったのはショック。これも軌跡シリーズ新世代の象徴かもしれません。名前も直接は出ず、遊撃士のトヴァルさんが匂わすセリフが少々あったくらい。

Conclusion
Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star is a competently crafted hack ‘n’ slasher that suffers from the same issues of repetition as its contemporaries. While making attempts at customization and depth, the core combat never rises to the challenge to match it.More nitpicky details include dated graphics and the unusual choice of font size. The framerate saves the game from looking like an early PlayStation 3 game, but the small font size makes reading the protagonist's own narration difficult when the system is docked. Playing it in handheld mode alleviates this somewhat, and was my preferred method of play (I'm of the mind that all visual novels should be enjoyed in the comfort of one's own bed).

Note: There is no Graphics setting in game, by default the game runs in 1080p but if you playing this game on WQHD screen you will be slighltly dissapointed. Although this is a solid port, if you not Fate series fan or in onto musou style gameplay simply skip this title. there are many game that is worth your money.

-You need to grind skirmish to get passed certain boss fight.
-dice rolling will get old and is unessesary.
-Unbalance XP distribution.

Conclusion : Mixing these genres offers lots of interesting possibilities, but Children of Zodiarcs frustratingly constrains options to the point where you don't get to explore the system. the game isn't awful, the new concept is a bit hard to play by since the dice is what plays the main part of the game that decide the fate of your character. If This is not the type SRPG you are looking for , then wait for the sale and buy it.

遊戲看起來好玩，不過這遊戲還是好多BUG。

不管你的選擇是什麼，不管你賣不賣你的內褲你選擇不賣到後來還是出賣自己去賣。妹妹也一樣我選擇不讓五金店主詐乳但還是一樣讓店主詐乳。最過份的事情是說已經是詐乳了，但五金店主得寸進尺的把乳頭吸了。這遊戲的選擇超級爛的，雖然遊戲已經CENSORED但這還是個色情遊戲。連樵夫也都得寸進尺的。選好說不買內褲但平胸女孩還是出賣自己的靈魂。這遊戲說不定一定也有強姦在遊戲後尾。如果你是玩英語為主要語言的話就不用看了，錯字多多有點難玩呀。能去的地方又少，NPC的對話又是死板的。如國我要玩的話我會選擇3DS的hometown story。這只是我的想法，可能我得罪大佬們的感覺但我只能說對不住，我只能down vote了

批判も多い今作ですが、プレイして見た上での感想は普通に面白かったです。
最初はこんなのダンテじゃない！とも思いましたがパラレル設定と割り切れば気に無くなりました。
内容としては、アクションはやっててかなり面白いと思いますが、シリーズをやっていた人だと挑発が無くなってたり、ロックオンがオート仕様に変更されてたりとちょっとやりにくいと感じるかもしれません。
ただその分コンボがしやすくなってたり、コンボの練習用モードの道場が新たに追加されているのとんとんっといたところでしょうか
シリーズ初プレイなら違和感なく楽しめると思います。
シナリオはシリーズファンはともかくシリーズ初プレイなら割と楽しめると思います。
過去作は全てプレイしてきましたが、アクションに関しては一番の出来だと思います。
登場キャラクターの容姿、性格などに賛否両論ありますが、私はこんなダンテやバージルもアリだと思えました。

Way of The Samurai 3 is definitely a unique game. Personally, as a fan of anything samurai related, I loved the game and beat it about five times over. In Way of the Samurai 3 your free to customize your character and your story, as you get to choose what you say and do when you interact with people. This provides for many different endings to the game and many different ways to play. However, there are many areas in the game that could be improved. The map is too small and feels limiting, and the game can be beaten in a very short amount of time. If your a fan of the samurai era, buy this game. You'll love it. Otherwise you may want to rent it before you make any commitments.

他の方も書いてますが内容はご都合主義そのもの「果てしなく、せつない」がうたい文句ですが真相を知った上でどこが「果てしなく、せつない」のか分かりませんでした政府の陰謀・呪われた手紙ルートはギャグだったのかもしれませんね

主人公・シナリオが残念、BGM・イラストは良かったと思います

I loved cossacks 1 but this remake is really turn me off after 15minutes of playtime. There is only new and unoptimalised graphics game contains all flaws from cossacks 1 and adds few more. Ai is catastrophic, game is full of bugs. If you love cossacks stay with cossacks1.

I am not a fan of WWE. My boyfriend took my game over and I have only played once. It looks like fun. And from experience the only thing that sucks is having to tap the button the r2 button at the exact right moment to get up.
My BOYFRIEND loves this game!! I am not a fan, but I don't really play it, only once or twice though since i am the one who brought the game! i brought it since he came over here today to play.
