The game is now functional, and fun.

Original review:
Game crashes my entire PC at random. Upgraded my specs to a radeon 6700xt with a ryzen 9 9950 processor an 32gb of ddr5 ram. Game still crashes every 30-45 minutes. But it doesn't just crash. It takes my entire system down for a reboot. thought it was a temperature issue, so i replaced my CPU cooler, installed it, things went fine for a while, then like clockwork, the game crashed my entire PC again.
This is torture. I want to play the damn game, I spent over $1000 upgrading my rig to play this. but ♥♥♥♥ me.

Game is fun when it works though.

Very cute, super stylish!
Easily completed in one session, the controls are tight, and the price can't be beat!
Give it a try, the Bunny is cute, right!

Aside from the day one severe issues, the combat loop is not fun.
I've been looking forward to this game since it got announced. I loved the Dead Space franchise, but I think that's partially what's holding my opinion of this game back.
It feels like it wan't to be dead space, but it just doesn't work for me.
More on the gameplay:
The combat loop is severely melee focused, playing out more like a 3d beat em up rather than a survival horror experience. Enemies are all very tanky, and hit extremely hard. There is a dodge mechanic that seems somewhat complex, but it's really just holding down a movement key...
I looked up a review after spending about an hour of actual gameplay (thanks day 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), and was saddened to find out that the entire game focuses on the melee aspects, which I really disliked.
Aesthetically, however, the game is gorgeous, and after the very needed day one patch, actually runs well.
I've asked for a refund, since $60 is a bit too much for a game im not really liking. I'd say between $30 and $40 is the right price for me. I've heard the game is between 6-12 hours long, depending on how much you explore, so if that effects your decision to pick it up, I'm glad I mentioned it.

Skullgirls is an idependantly developed fighting game that is carrying tradition from fighting staples such as Street Fighter II and Darkstalkers, with an impressivley tight control scheme that is quite easy to get into, and a cast of chracters that all act and play vastly differently. Skullgirls is a 6-button fighter on a 2-dimensional plane. IN my honest opinion, Skullgirls is an excelent point to leap into the fighting game community, as its tutorials and single player settings allow even the most unskilled players to dive into what can be a fairly unforgiving and hard to understand community. Before skullgirls, the only fighting game I played was Super Smash Bros, because I kept telling myself "I don't understand what I'm doing so I can't play this". Skullgirls opened my eyes to an extremely fun genre of gaming that I was otherwise blind and blocked out of. 10/10 would recommend.

Early Access Review
When I had initally purchaced StarForge on a steam sale (for $13) I was hoping to see a shooter with survival elements (construction, mining) and when I booted it up (in alpha) I was greeted with a rough, yet semi functional shooter/ fort defense game. And every few months I'd come back to check up on it. and most recently I came in to find it had become quite similar to mincraft, to my great dismay. I'm not quite fond of ragging on games, but I had problems, to say the least.
The thing that had made me buy StarForge was the trailer, which I thought showed great promise. I hope the game becomes more of what we were shown in the trailer.
