A must play for anyone into the ARPG genre.
Fantastic game, the variety of classes and playstyles are amazing.
It is just fun to play!

Early Access Review
This is my dream game in a sense. Especially with MOD support.
It has much potensial.
I'm waiting for 1.0, I want to dive in and experience the full game and not get burned out like I did with Minecraft, 1.0 came out and already bored with vanilla. It's is really har to resist.

Bought the game at launch to support the developer.
And had a quick dive into the game, a little low on content.
What was there was decent, this was at EA launch.

Saving this gem for untill is done cooking in the oven.

Keep up the good work Dave :)

Had a lot of fun with this game, played since launch.
Would continue to play, but the devs are clueless doing so many stupid things patch after patch that take the fun out of it.

Due to a bug this review is negative, I may patch it to positive down the road, will see.

I highly recommend this little gem.
It feels like Frontier Elite (The old classic one) but only in 2D.
Enough said, install and play, it's even free c",)

Very casual but a fun little game. Can be extremely addictive!

TL;DR
Click, collect money, upgrade rinse and repeat.

Hero Souls:
What's giving the game some longevity is that after a little while you can (and must at some time) "Ascend". It's a reset back to square, you get this fairly early on the game "unlock from one of the regular heroes". At that time and forward in the game you can ascend at anytime you'd like. You get to keep collected currency "Hero Souls" for your "special" heroes, you also keep your special heroes and their level.
Basic heroes, level, gold and zone progress is reset back to zero.

Sounds tedious, but the dev's managed to "slip" in some "but not much" other things here and there to keep it interesting.

What's keeping me in the game is the hunt for those precious Hero Souls (HS).
HS drops from special "Astral bosses with HS" witch starts to come into play from zone 100.
From now on they can spawn on every boss encounter (every 5 levels). On some run's you can get a lot, some time not so much. You also get 1 HS for every 2000 combined level upgrades of your regular heroes.

Those HS can be used to either buying and/or upgrading your special heroes or you can just horde 'em. They give you a flat 10% damage increase pr HS you keep.

Achievements:
Another thing to mention, this is a game where achievements matter, most of or if not all of them give you a damage boost. Ranges from 3 to 5 % DPS increase. There are a lot of them, and they do add up. Nothing really hard or creative here. You get em for by just playing the game. This is not a review of the achievements, wanted to mention that they have a purpose.

Offline play:
I must mention that the implementation of collecting/farming gold while you are offline is the reason this game was not uninstalled after and hour or so on my part. Feels so good to progress as far as you'd like, and just quit the game or even minimize the game window and surf the web, work whatever. The game farms at that spot, brilliant.

F2P:
The F2P model is good, you get the currency in-game as well so you don't have to spend money if you don't want to. I feel that this game is generous giving you this currency "Red rubies" in-game compared to some of the other F2P games I've tried.

Final note:
You can play this active or passive. Play 5 minutes, 1 hour, 10 hours it's up to you, it doesn't punish you for going offline.

A decent game, I'm still having fun at this time 52 hours in. Most of those hours are minimized i must confess ;) Still playing though. c",)

Edit: Spelling and structuring.

First off, I really like rhythm games and smups/bullet hell games. Was exited to try off this mix of genres, but it does not work for me. To many things to keep your eyes on.

Steer your ship away from enemies and bullets at the same time you have to keep your eyes on the rhythm and time your keystroke, also there's a distance bonus to the enemy when you do the keystroke (the closer you are, better the score).

To top it off there's even another thing to keep your eyes on, that is after if you sucessfully matched the correct keystroke it gives you feedback if you where to fast or to late pressing the key. Though is is optional but nessersary if you want to get a good score, it would have been a nice feature if it wasn't to much other things to keep your eyes on.

Another thing is that if you miss a rhythm keystroke, that enemy is not destroyed witch in turn makes it even harder as that's more enemies to keep track of/avoid.

Pro:
Decent graphic.
Good music if you like dance music.

Con:
Information overload.
No support for your own music.

Edit6: So after comming back with patch 3.23, the game is fun again. Yay.

Edit5: With the combination of patch 3.14 and 3.15 the game is not fun for me anymore!
So this is me nerfing GGG's steam review.

Edit4: Just play it!
Edit3: Still good :)
Edit2: Still a fantastic game.
Edit: Still a good game.

Orginal review:

An awesome ARPG! with an amazing depth to it. Hard to believe that it's F2P with not an ounce of pay to win in it.

Much more things to do compared to Payday 1. Having a blast with it in co-op. AI companions is to stupid for the game to be enjoyed in a singel player game, but then again the game is built for co-op. It's fun to play c",)

Edit: Changed to tumbs down for adding micro transaction.
Edit 2: Changed back to a positive rating as they removed the change.

A good game with good story and voice actors. The world immersed me. Some annoying invisible walls and unnessecary backtracking but in the end a good game. Time consuming if you want to do all the side quests.
