I disagree because it's a 10 years old indie game and all DLC characters are basically a life support.

Your saying this, but you do know that most if not all the base game characters are like really good, so you don't even need to get the DLC. Also they go on sale a lot, like i remember some of the DLC being on sale for like 1 dollar.
