I got this game since the days of its first early access, and though it developed slowly, now that it's fully launched and I have finished it in Hardcore, I can finally write my review. Raft is a lovely and (mostly) chill survival craft game in which you play as one of the few sole survivors after the entirety of the world flooded due to an untold event. There is no tutorial, and whatever hints the game provides are given solely during the initial loading sequence, after which there are no transition screens for the entirety of the experience and it's a seamlessly open world. So you've got to rely on your own intuition and keen observation in figuring out how things work. Unlike other games in which you can settle down somewhere to create your base and branch out as you explore, your raft is your home as your only means of transport across the ocean. There is a story to discover, with several places to explore, and it all begins after getting yourself a working radar. The game is quite enjoyable solo, and greatly improved with good friends, as are most things.

If you enjoy survival and/or crafting games, a bit of farming, base building and decoration along story and gear progression as much as I do, consider giving Raft a try!

If you enjoy games such as Terraria, Starbound, Valheim, V Rising, etc... you definitely wanna give this one a shot. 200+ hours in, and other than finding a few items for my collection and exploring a few gaps in the map, I've finally completed (or rather caught up) my first hard mode world until more content is added. And what a wild wide it has been. Right from the start nothing is ever explained to you, and you have to figure out things on your own as you go.

Furthermore, I've encountered almost no bugs. That said, the game -does- rarely crash every then and again seemingly at random for me, but all your info is constantly saved so it's a minor annoyance. All in all, 10/10!

Got this as a gift from a friend, and loved it so much that I bought the DLC, and don't regret it a second. All the characters are great with their unique strenghts, weaknesses and playstyles in some way or another, even slightly customizable by unlocking additional talents through achievements, and even then it's truly the items that will define how you're going to be playing or building your spec. While it is definitely fun by oneself... as with most things, it truly shines with friends, and despite being repetitive it doesn't get old fast. Either way, chaotic fun is guaranteed!

Extremely fun and addictive idle RPG! Expect to grind a lot for those juicy rare items! I've gotten to the point where numbers are ridiculous, and I'm still having fun hoarding items, levelling relics and gearing up my team for them to be the best over-the-top killing machines they can possibly be.
