Welp, Sony's back at it. Game now requires you to add a Sony account link to be able to play. Absurd and unwanted. See various outlets online to understand why this stance is so upsetting, my reasoning is its crazy that players can lose access to something they paid for unless you sign up for the companies platform.

Previous review - Game is finally running smoothly, and is as amazing as ever. Good time to jump on and join the fight.

Previous Review -

Game is amazingly fun. Sadly the game is literally unplayable. Constant crashes after playing a match for 30 minutes makes the game extremely frustrating. Then unable to connect to servers due to them being at capacity, which is only made worse by the crashes forcing you back to wait all over again. Completely unacceptable to be selling a game that you know full well will not be able to be played by the people it is being sold to. Was heavily recommending this to my friends, but now advise any and all to steer clear until Sony figures out how to manage servers.

Hackers, Desync, Lies from Devs, and buggy as an anthill. This game's got it all.

I don't know where to start with my issues with this game. The Hackers are rampant in the game. I see one every 3rd match. The whole reason I am even posting this review is because I'm salting coming out of a finale with 3 hackers. It's disgusting how bad it is. The devs claim all hackers are banned after their first cheat but fact I have seen the same hacker twice in a row, and every hacker I've ever seen has on a 10 win costume means this is a blatant lie. It's damage control from the developers because of same major ineptitude to address the issue.

If you can get past the hackers then have fun in tail tag where the servers do not accurately show you where players are properly placed. Another bean can snag your tail from ten feet away, or you can be 10 feet in front of another player and lose to them in Fall Mountain because they were actually ahead of you the whole time. More on fall mountain the dev's claim they fixed the issue where you could grab the top of the crown and not win, but that's another lie. There's twitch streams of it still occurring.

I can't even get into the myriad of bugs that can occur. The Physics freaking out and launching people a mile because they clip a door, or being flung to the end of the stage by one of the beginning rotators. These aren't that bad but it's important to note for my final stance on the game.

The devs couldn't even set up simple filtering for the names in the game, and players were naming themselves horribly offensive things or, and here's the real shame on the devs part, they'd make their name html injection code to crash everyone else's match. So the solution? Take away naming and now everyone just has 4 numerical digits. Not even alphanumerical. So you share your number with a thousand others. Remember that hacker issue? Yeah the devs say it's pointless to report anyone because they'd have to figure out which of the 1000 players with that number is hacking. So they tell you not to even report people because they are banning them after their first time hacking. It's just lies, fueled by an inept game dev.

The gameplay, when you actually do get to it, is amazingly fun. It's some of the best fun you can have, but the game wasn't ready for release. They rushed a release, and it suffers horribly for it. Amazing concept, horrible execution. I hope they can get themselves together and actually finish some basic QA for their game, but the blatant oversight of very simple things like naming filters does not bode well to me. I regret having purchased the game now, and I'll look back in a few months time to reassess.

Early Access Review
Great fun with friends, and an amazing couch co-op. Dev's are highly responsive, and put out updates on a regular schedule. As it currently is, the game is a blast, but only has a few hours worth of content, although is still extremely enjoyable to replay. I look forward to whatever the dev's have planned going forward.

After waiting for the game to come to an official launch I finally picked this up last week after the past six months of anticipation. I had seend gameplay of PUBG, and was sure I would enjoy it, but decided I'd wait until a stable launch so that I wouldn't have to deal with the bog of early access and ongoing development.

Thinking this was a mistake. I don't entirely understand why they now chose to push this game into official launch, but if this is what is considered a finished product, then it just serves as further proof the current embarrassing state of affairs game development finds itself in. The game has a 50% chance of crashing on launch. It has a 1% chance to crash in any match. It completely eats my pc's moderate cpu resources. Spawn lag is still utterly devestating to fluid gameplay. The in game party system is constantly bugged, and unusable requiring you to reload. The game does not recognize when you have left a match and asks if you would like to rejoin the one in which you just died allowing you to only spectate. So many things lead to needless frustration which I had waited to avoid.

Minor quality of life improvements make the game more bearable. The fact that you cannot set your preferences for perspective, and after every match defaults to TPP causes unnecessary annoyance. The fact that there is no map preference selection available now that they have launched their new (and I find far less enjoyable) map, further gets under my skin. The inability to rely on the in game friend list to invite players as it will often display people offline, even when they are in your lobby, makes getting into games take unnessecarily long.

Besides all of these issues with the game I enjoy it quite a bit. I wish I had waited until all of this garbage was sorted out before I bought it, and had wrongly assumed that is what an official launch would mean, but regardless I will still continue to play it. I would reccomend people looking to buy this game and play with friends, to wait until it is less volatile, and able to function properly.

A great time sink. Sit back and explore the solar system with your own crafted ships.

Think L4D in Medieval times with Ratmen. Then add in a gear/loot system.
