UPDATED TL;DR - I wouldn't recommend this game unless you know EXACTLY what to expect. Do some research.


The game had a great start but the devs sold out and abandonned the survival part of H1Z1. They disabled market tradability on items from the new crates and they're trying to push pay-to-play gamemodes in a game you have to pay to play. The only mode that is being focused on by the devs is Battle Royale. If you're buying H1Z1, you're buying it for BR not for survival.


UPDATE: The game has since split in half, and both game modes seem to be getting alot more attention suddenly. I strongly disagree with the way they handled this whole game, but the split is looking good for now; zombies are alot less bland and boring and the animations were cleared up, but the crafting and looting in Just Survive remains pretty basic.

One of the most complete FPS games i've ever played. Non-stop action, a great storyline, likeable characters, fun gameplay and a nice array of mechanics in the game (driving/land gliding, using the bugbait, leading squads, destroy objects, etc.)

There's something about Valve games that gets to me somehow, when I complete one of the puzzles in either Portal or HL2 I feel the sense of accomplishment like in no other game.

This game is something else man. Life Is Strange let's your choices impact the story directly, and throughout the game you really feel the impacts of the choices you made. And since it's about time-travel, the storyline is full of unexpected/lesser expected events.

Life Is Strange is more like an interactive movie in which you make the choices, and although there is a set storyline in the background, your choices still have alot of impact as to how characters interact with eachother or even if something happens or not. But this is where the core mechanic of the game comes in play: you can rewind time at your leisure, either to change something you did wrong, access places that you shouldn't or even save a life. The characters are well-done and believable, the setting and the scenario are tightly knit and the game feels like the devs put their hearts into making it, something you can't say about everything that comes out these days.

I would recommend this game to fans of Quantic Dream games (Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls) or the Telltale game fans. Life Is Strange plays alot like those games, except your choices have far more impact.

Game is very well done and atmospheric, but some parts of the gameplay are lacking (not enough content). I tried really hard to like the game but coop and solo mode are so short and the multiplayer is generic and boring (only one set of weapons). No doubt the game will be great upon leaving early access, assuming it ever will. This is the kind of game that made people despise early access, showing great potential but then stalling it for months or even years (this one is almost a decade old iirc).

I'm not going to argue with anybody about the looks and feeling of the game as I quite enjoyed them, but the gameplay is lacking, especially for a game that has been in developpement for so long.

(Playtime is during Free Weekend, and was plenty enough to try out every aspect of the game fully, believe it or not.)

Lucius is a game about the most evil little kid ever killing people in gruesome ways (kinda reminded me of Mortal Kombat fatalities at some points). It's like playing in a horror movie where you're the killer and the story is pretty good, though the animation can be bad at some times.

Nonetheless, I really liked the feel of the game with the decor and the ambient music (even though I got lost half the time) and the achievements are very easy to get. I would recommend buying the game on sale unless you don't mind paying full price for a 5-8 hour game.

I don't fully understand what i've just watched, but it was cool as ♥♥♥♥.

IMPORTANT: Garry's Mod has a huge problem with server administration. First off, many of the ''free'' servers (meaning those who don't require being whitelisted, hence anybody can join) are ran by what is known in the community as ''paidmins''. To make a long story short, alot of servers offer VIP/Admin status in exchange for money so they can keep running the server and have more people moderating it at all times (even if a vast majority of these paidmins don't know how to admin properly, let alone align two sentences without sounding like a tool). Due to this becoming common on alot of the bigger servers (and even small ones, which completely kills their growth) I would recommend joining a whitelisted server: They will require some information such as your name, age, language, if you have a mic, if you're an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, etc. and if you check out they will add you in and you will be able to play without as much fear of people breaking the rules and getting away with it.

Review:
I've had this game in my library for 3 years and I had never played it until about 2 months ago. After spending over 120 hours in the first 2 weeks, I realized how stupid my mistake was. Garry's mod is literally anything you want it to be, whether you want to build stuff alone, RP it out in a server or even play various gamemodes just for the fun of it!

The only limit in this game is your imagination. The game is already very customizable, but you can also add to that some mods, creating a huge variety of different game type.

I would highly recommend anybody on Steam to buy this game, because buying Garry's Mod isn't like buying a simple game, it's more like you're buying a compilation of games that are only limited by the number of players wanting to play said games.

Having friends to play with makes it even more fun to play, but the community is open and you can make friends if you want to. I will say though, you WILL come across mediocre admins and power abusers, as most of these servers are ran by 12-20 year olds.

P.S: I recommend also having CS:S installed to remove most of the missing textures. (or downloading the textures.)

DISCLAIMER: i've played mostly on xbox 360 back when it was released around 2007-08. I got the game for free a couple years back on steam and I only recently replayed it on PC.

Portal(both games) are the best 3d puzzlers i've ever played in my life. The game is challenging, has a great story-line (mostly the 2nd one) and has this oppressing feeling all the way through that makes it all the more interesting. The main attribute of the first Portal is the gameplay (the 2nd game keeps that and adds in a great story.) The game is fluid, it will make you think inside and outside the box in every way possible and the humor is very nice at times.

I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a unique gaming experience with high production quality, even if you don't think you would enjoy the puzzles at first. I would also recommend getting both Portal games because you would be missing out if you only got one of them.

Very fun game with an interesting art-style. The gameplay is good and fluid but i've had a few issues with the servers sometimes. I would definitely recommend grabbing Blockstorm while it's in beta and at a such a low price.
