The Lord of the Rings Online is a generic, yet fun MMO with elements that make you feel like you're living in Middle-Earth (Such as the exploration, the housing, the class/race system, etc.) The map is huge and will keep you entertained for a long time if you're a fan of the LOTR/The Hobbit books or movies. You can play for free until about level 30 so you can experience the game for a while before buying expansions/paying for a subscription. You can still access the zones you dont own but you just cant complete quests in them so you can still explore if that's something you like.

There is consistently new content coming out for the game and they've almost have the whole map of middle earth to explore.

Convoluted game, only worth playing if you've already been playing it for the past 10 years or if you have a 2010 potato that can't run better games. I'd rather play OW2 (which is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) than play this, which says alot. Stop listening to purists who tell you that TF2 is supposed to be an institution or a cult-classic, it's an average game that was cool when it released like 15 years ago but has done little to innovate on the concept since (other than a pay-to-play PvE mode). The only thing keeping it afloat is the diehard fans who spent thousands of hours and are stuck defending it because they decided to dedicate their lives to it.

EDIT: Was a great game 3 years ago! Now I'd just recommend playing hearthstone instead.
