One of the great mods of the old source days, and one of the few that had a complete game made after it. The mod is well made, is very tactical and has realistic elements. I would recommend getting the full game (Insurgency) instead but you can always play the old mod to see what changed.

I don't recommend getting this on it's own, or if you haven't played HL2. It's more of a tech demo than a real game (you will be able to try out all of the guns on enemies).

The only reason I recommend getting this is if you want to own all of the HL2 content.

My favorite of the two expansion episodes, even though I really enjoyed the whole experience overall. Half-life 2 is a must play for any gamer that enjoys FPS games and developped storylines. ValVe have put their heart into HL2 and you can feel it when you play it through. This is the longer of the 2 episodes.

I would recommend getting this episode with the base game and the 1st ep.

Not exactly as enjoyable as the base game, but it's always a good thing to have more half-life to play. The mechanics remain the same, it's still fun but this episode is the shorter of the two.

I would recommend just getting The Orange Box (HL2+Both episodes and Portal) during sales.

READ BEFORE BUYING: The game has some sort of forced connection to uPlay so if that is a turn off to you (and thats completely normal if its the case) then you might wanna pass up on this.

Concentrated 80's action injected straight into your eyes with a ♥♥♥♥-ton of references to movies and pop culture. All of this badassness is set in a Farcry game which makes is even more badass and fun with many things to blow up/kill as well as objectives to complete. The game is exactly like an 80's action movie: Cheesy dialogue, Action-packed combat scenes, a badass protagonist, robots, explosions, lasers and it's short and sweet.

I recommend this to any fan of the 1980's and of general badassery.

The zombie game that will make you wonder why there`s no Coop. Seriously though, the game is great and is a solid mix between a zombie survival and a city-manager where you get to decide what you do next, be it rescueing the soldiers stranded across town, saving the couple on the highway or scavenging resources to build extra stuff in your base.

The game is fun, complete and has a ton of replayability and is a cool innovation over the generic zombie games being shoved out these days. The only real complaint is the lack of Coop.

So yes, I recommend this game if you think it looks fun to you. Oh, and I recommend you get the DLC's as they are a great addition to the base game.

Another game from the Big Rigs dev team... a F2P with a TON of recycled assets from their previous failure, Infestation: Survivor Stories (Also known as TheWarZ). I played this in beta (because I sadly bought I:SS when it came out and they gave a code to ex-players) and I will say that the game was polished since, but only the gameplay. Romero's Aftermath is very similar to Infestation: Survivor Stories by it's graphics and the incredibly bad sound effects aswell as the overall boring gameplay.

I do not recommend this game or any game made by Sergey Titov and his team, who have given up on making good games a long time ago. They release half-assed games and only cash in on the genre of their game (Open World). Infestation: Survivor Stories was released in the wake of the DayZ mod's popularity and they cashed in on the fact that the market was empty, as DayZ:Standalone had yet to be released. Now they're pulling the same deal but with H1Z1's *supposedly* future F2P model, as that market has yet again no competition.

TL;DR You should try Smite but be wary of the saltstorm.

(Salt/Being Salty: Being angry, agitated, upset.)

Smite is a great game. I've played it since the Beta and have done the 1-30 grind as well as a few ranked games last season.

Now that this has been made clear, i'll discuss what isn't so great about it. To be blunt, the community is ♥♥♥♥. We could all agree that online video game communities are generally bad but in Smite more often than not, your game will have someone being salty towards another player for stupid reasons(anything from a teammate feeding, to someone not being able to take a joke or play along). The game has come a long way with all the visual updates and the god balance but the state of the community has just been getting worse every year. But of course, since you can just mute anyone who is fedora-neckbearding in the chat the gameplay doesn't really suffer unless you listen to their crap and let them get at you. In the end though, it's a team game, so you will have to endure some salt one way or the other.

The gameplay side of Smite is well executed and unique in the MOBA genre. The third person view and the familliarity of the gods to the common person makes the game more accessible in my opinion because not every player is interested in Lore and the bird's view in traditionnal MOBAs can be a barrier for the new player who has yet to pick up a game from the genre.

The last point that makes this game for me is the cheap god pack, in which you receive every god released as well as all future gods for like 20$USD. This method is far better than that of LoL/HotS, even though it's not nearly as good as the free DOTA 2 way of going.

Smite is at a great point in it's lifecycle for new players to join in, with the recent Steam addition and the game only being in it's second season of competitive/ranked play.

Overall, I would recommend playing Smite or simply giving it a try to see if you'd like it because it's definitely worth a shot.

Lucius II is a terrible sequel to a great game. The first Lucius was more about the story and the atmosphere while it's sequel is less good in almost every single way possible: Gameplay is less fun, exploration is more tedious, "quests" are boring and sometimes too easy/too hard, stealth is annoying/broken, the story is stupid(Seriously? The inspector really trusts Lucius THAT MUCH????) and even the Lucius model is less good than in the first game. It's also super buggy and it's hard to execute complicated plans because it probably won't work (due to the bad AI) and you end up resorting to poisoning them more often than not.

If you've enjoyed Lucius, don't play this, as it might tarnish your enjoyment for the series. For the record, the first Lucius game is easily in my top 10 best gaming experiences in the past 5 years.

Free to Play is a very well-made documentary showing the eSports scene of Dota 2 and how the players behind the gamertags are as human as anybody else, and have to deal with stress, family problems, pressure and some even worry about after they retire.

I would recommend watching this if you have any interest in eSports and the players, even if you aren't into Dota 2 at all.
