I thought this was going to be like any other cute little point and click game, but it is not. I never thought a game could make me feel so badly for the antagonist, but it did. It pulled at my heartstrings and left a bad taste in my mouth, but I still have to recommend because it is so different than I excepted and overall a really enjoyable game.

What an experience.
I thoroughly enjoy a well done suspenseful game with an enthralling story. I could not stop playing because I got wrapped up in the story and had to know more. Although the ending I got was a bit predictable, it all ties together very well and still filled me with a sense of satisfaction.
There are quite a few jump scares, I do not mind them as much and they did get me a few times, but just a warning to horror fans that do not enjoy that aspect.
The characters are also very slow in all their movements. I wish there were a way to run, but there is not. Perhaps, the creators wanted this to add to the suspense since you cannot run from the “evil” spirits.
The art is a bit odd. However, I appreciate the unique aspect of it. Some of it appears to be photographs copied and pasted from reality and other parts seem to be drawn. The combining of two worlds for animation was interesting to say in the least.
I purchased this game in a bundle, so the price was adequate for me, but I do not know if I would pay the current steam price. Especially since I only got a good four hours into the game and that is coming from someone who plays every game meticulously slow. I would highly recommend getting this game on a good sale or in a bundle if you can, especially if you enjoy point-and-click games.

In all seriousness, this was a unique little game and I liked that the more I clicked on things the more the story would change. Even if you did not like it, hey it's free how can I not recommend something that does not cost you anything but maybe an hour of your time.

I did not think it possible for a pixel graphics game to frighten me, but I was wrong. This game has just the right amount of suspense that made me want to keep playing. Since this is the second game in the series I would highly recommend playing the first game before, otherwise, the story will be very confusing. To me, you cannot play one without the other or out of order or it will detract from the story. Like all point and click adventure games there is a fair bit of well pointing and clicking, much of which seems to be randomly clicking on things to try to move the story along. Sometimes the obvious answer is the choice and others it is not. If you walk around and click on everything enough times you will advance eventually. Also, the characters you interact with will give you subtle clues. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I hope you will too.

I was not sure if I would like this game at first because it has such a limited playthrough. Finishing it I just want more. I loved almost every aspect of the game. The side quests are funny, although can be a bit of a sadistic type of humor at times. I would not say all the characters are very likable, but at least the character you get to play as is. I liked running and climbing on things, and killing the endless hordes of bad guys. It is fun to be the strongest being on the planet. One thing I did notice that is kind of a problem is the leveling up is slower than the actual gameplay. Meaning that you can finish the game and all the side quests and still not be anywhere close to max level. Where does the game expect you to go once it is all finished? I am not sure, but I am very excited for the second game to come out.

This is really a unique and great game. I highly recommend it. I love the characters, well except one (okay maybe two), and the voice acting is extremely good. The story eloquently transitions from peaceful to creepy, to heart-wrenching and vice versa.
Walking around can be kind of annoying since you must walk all around an Island and you cannot run. Especially when you have to walk from one end to the other it can feel really far for the story to progress. The worst part is walking up and down hills or stairs, I have never seen a character move so slowly.
However, the beautiful atmosphere and dialogue choices do make up for your character having to walk everywhere. Be warned the dialogue choices pop up very quickly and you only have a few seconds to decide between them and sometimes it interrupts the conversation and you miss part of the story which can be quite annoying.
I did purchase this game in a bundle and I honestly cannot see someone getting more than ten hours of gameplay for this game so although I do highly recommend I do not recommend for this price. Wait for a good sale or bundle and then grab this game I do not think you will regret.

I am a big fan of point and click adventure games, so beware of that predisposed bias.
Black Mirror's strongest attribute is the story. Every time I have beaten one of the games I want more, it draws me in with the mystery and I love all the story details included as the plot develops. Although, the graphics are not particularly impressive, nor is the way the characters interact with objects and each other, what the game lacks it makes up for in a tantalizing plot. I am also always pleasantly surprised by how long the stories are, each one taking me between 15 and 23 hours (for anyone who does not typically play point and click games that is well above the average). The puzzles range anywhere between giving you a headache and downright juvenile, but I enjoy them either way. If you are a fan of the genre I would highly recommend, however, as this is the third game in the series do yourself a favor and start at the beginning. Also, buyer beware the first game is much more clunky.

I have to recommend this game because of the intense story. I loved Samuel’s pompous attitude and uncovering the mysteries. Be warned though that it is a slowly paced game. If you do not want to sit and wait for the protagonist to lethargically walk across the screen and for every character you interact with to have to leisurely stop what they are doing and turn around slowly like their whole bodies are encompassed in molasses do not purchase this game. There are also quite a few times where you have to walk around for what feels like hours until a character will finally speak to you so that you can even move along in the story. I have almost 24 hours in this game and that is just in my first playthrough. I not only play games slowly, this game itself reacts slowly. I have to give a good review though because I am enamored by this game, but buyer beware if you want a fast-paced game look somewhere else.

This game feels more like someone's High school project than an actual game that should be sold. Do not waste your money on a game that does not function properly. It is incredibly short, all the characters look the same, it's not translated into English well, it crashes after every single level is completed. And the cherry on top of all of that is having to go into the game files (to save 40 something) to even open the game to play it. I would not care that I received this game in a bundle if I did not keep getting random booster packs for it. Instead of getting booster packs for games I love and enjoy I get them for Jackal EVERY single time. I despise you, Jackal, not because you are horrible, not because you exist, but because you have single-handedly ruined all my booster packs.

This game is quite relaxing and the art is unique, interesting, and gorgeous. There is a bit of a more random element to this game compared to other point and click adventure games, but I still really enjoyed it. I liked collecting all the creature cards and looking at the art. It does not do anything, but it's an interesting and creative little feature. Be prepared to run around a lot in confusingly mapped out levels. I liked the level design because it is different, however, even with the mini map I did get lost a few times.
I would recommend purchasing this game in a bundle or on sale since it does have a limited amount of playthrough, and is short. I finished it within six hours, but I am going to go back and get the rest of the achievements later so if you play games like me (extremely slowly) you will get your money's worth. One tip that might be obvious to other people but it took me a while to figure out is when you have an item in your inventory you can only apply it in the room it is supposed to be applied to. So, if you go to take it out of your inventory and it does not budge then you know it is not needed in that room. That feature definitely made figuring out the puzzles easier for me.
In conclusion, if you enjoy relaxing, atmospheric, slower-paced, random, point and click adventure games I would highly recommend. If you are the kind of player that wants to play a game that is fast-paced this is not the game for you.
