One of the best tactical shooters I've personally ever played. Complex tactics and teamwork mixed with easy to learn game mechanics make this shooter enjoyable to play. Graphics, visuals, and feel are very comparable to games from the Battlefield franchise, which makes sense considering the developers behind this game were the same people behind the Project Reality Battlefield mod. While this game looks and feels a lot like a Battlefield title, gameplay differs significantly, relying on teamwork at both the individual and squad level to come out on top with the "W". There is no progression or leveling system in Squad and no scores, K/D ratios, etc. are archived. This, i feel, works well with this type of game. Some matches you might be apart of a squad assigned to back-capping objectives, building epic Forward Operating Bases (AKA Super FOBs), or running supplies to FOBs and strategic positions, and you may go an entire match without firing your weapon. Other matches, you may find yourself and fellow squadmates boarding a helicopter, and hot dropping into the current objective, hanging on for dear life trying not to die. Squad is one of the most accurate military sims we have out there, with accurately modelled weapons, vehicles, gear, and reload animations. If you long for and action packed (most of the time) fast paced tactical shooter, then Squad is the game for you.

This is an amazing tactical shooter that I can only describe as the result of Squad and Battlefield 1 hooking up and having a good time, if you know what I mean ;)

Much like it's daddy, Squad (although the game was developed by Redstone Interactive, it was Published by Offworld, the same guys who developed Squad) the game takes the tactical combat of the era, as well as the weapons, seriously. While not always the case, one well placed shot to the head or torso is often enough to incapacitate your enemy. Much like Squad, in order to get the most out of the game, it forces you to join a squad and use your mics to call out enemy positions and work together. While matches can host the same amount of players as a Squad match (up to 100), the game does feature smaller maps. This proves to be, in my opinion, an excellent choice as it forces the soldiers to fight in closer proximity, thus adding the illusion of fighting a much larger, more intense battle. And that brings me to the beautiful chaos of the game.

Despite the more realistic weaponry and tactics, the game feels a lot like Battlefield 1 in the sense that you could be taken out by an artillery shell or rogue bullet at any moment. As you charge the opposing team's trenches you can hear the bullets whizzing by, cracking off the ground in front of you. You can see the machine gun tearing up your Squadmates and ripping up the ground in front of you. If you're lucky enough to make to the opposing system of trenches, you'd better be ready to fight your way through squads of enemies, using stealth to navigate quietly through, or going berserk trying to spread panic within their ranks with your trusty bayonet and shovel (or sword if you're an officer...you lucky bastard).

The visuals are fantastic, the audio is beautifully terrifying, and the tactical gameplay is certainly unique (while one could argue it is a copy of Squad, the difference in historical setting and combat definitely makes it feel like a completely different game). Lastly, the community is just fantastic. I have yet to run into someone I don't get along with.

A well made budget Battlefield. Graphics could be better but the game runs well and smooth. Worth the 10 bucks

Great game. Defined the Battle Royale genre of video games. Used to be bad for cheaters but PUBG Corp. have improved the in-game experience by taking a much harder stance against them.

Great game! Graphics are beautiful and the game is very friendly to new players and easy to understand, especially for how complex the combat can be. Game still needs a bit of a polish (weird glitches still present themselves, some gameplay features aren't available yet, etc) but that is to be expected from any early access games. Devs are constantly improving the experience through consistent updates and patches. The Mount and Blade franchise is truly one of a kind.

Great game! Great graphics! AI can be a little scitzo sometimes but multiplayer is the name of the game.

Feeling depressed? Lonely? Miserable? Then play DayZ and enjoy the satisfaction of surviving you first day in Chernarus, finding other survivors and kindling new friendships, AND...feeling even more depressed when those same friends ultimately stab you in the back and kill you, just so they could have that awesome M4 you found. When guys with motorcycle helmets tie you up and shoot you in the head, even though you literally have nothing on you and you keep screaming "Friendly!", the depression you feel irl won't seem nearly as painful as the frustration you'll feel in game. It really is therapeutic. If you enjoy suffering the slow death of starvation, or being killed as soon as you spawn in by a guy wielding a soup can, then DayZ is the game for you. I'm gonna go kill myself now...

In all honesty, DayZ is an excellent game with great mechanics and can be an epic role-play experience. Once you get past the difficult learning curve, a whole new world opens up before in which you can craft your own adventures and stories. However, there are some bugs in the system that need to be worked out but none of these are game-breaking (just stuff like zombies getting stuck in the wall and infected somehow being able to warp through doors...sometimes...not all the time). However this does not change the "EPIC" factor DayZ brings and the game is truly amazing. Would recommend...

Great shooter: Smooth controls make it easy to play. Improved graphics and sound effects. Only dumb thing is that the multiplayer interface is browser-based so it can be difficult to get it working properly. Once its up and running though, it works great

Fabulous game. Extremely accurate mil-sim with long waits between the action, intense, realistic firefights, and a huge learning curve.
