For me, Bitburner started out as something to noodle around in, a fun little coding sandbox I stumbled upon after playing through Hacknet. It has since become one of my favorite games. Don't let the text-focused interface fool you, there's a lot of fun stuff to find here. Read as little as you can about it, enough to get started, and then explore. Absolutely seek out and use coding resources, but don't spoil any of Bitburner's discovery process for yourself.

For whatever it might be worth, I've become a better programmer as a direct result of the time I've spent in Bitburner, so there's that, too.
