The control scheme feels like very early arena shooters such as UT or Quake. Add in an element of randomness, fun rail skating, dozens and dozens of builds, and one adrenaline-pumping soundtrack and you have a winner.

I've changed my mind about changing my review after they "fix" their already over 1 million copies sold game. They cannot support the player base on their servers due to the massive "success" of this game, yet they continue to offer it for sale, increasing the numbers and continuing to harm the current player base. I have requested a refund from Steam, but I doubt I will be able to get it as I exceed the playtime (I regret taking time off on the first week to play during the day, because now I am restricted from playing during my free time).

I can respect that Arrowhead is caught in a tight place right now, but they are absolutely prioritizing the continual money grab over meeting their promises to those who already bought the game.

If you enjoy Survival FPS, this is one of the best ones on the market now. Bad launch, consistent follow up and tons of new content released. I play it on and off, and I'll be buying the next Expansion as well.

The beginning few hours are lots of fun, however you'll most likely unlock all of the upgrades for the temple within the first "half" of the story. The upgrades need a bit of balancing for progression to continue throughout the game. At the end you'll need 20 followers, so you get in a repetitive cycle of trying to feed your followers, going out to get new ones, and old ones dying off. It makes the final steps of the game feel super tedious. Overall the combat is okay, but gets repetitive quickly.

Pros:
Feels like a good mix of progression, combat, and base building in early game.
Super fun art style
Great interaction in the base

Cons:
Halfway through the game it starts to feel like a chore.

Plenty of people have detailed out the millions of ways this game rocks. All of them are true.

Great game to play with friends, no matter how much you play it stays skerry.

Menu boxes stay up even when playing in the background, forcing you to restart. After my third restart the game said I tried to log in too many times and wouldn't let me in. Game looks entertaining, too bad I'll never know.

Edit 3: Now at an additional 2459 hours and I've finally broken free of the game. I've started seeing other games and enjoying my time with them. Every day further from the abuse I get, the better I feel. The sky is blue and the sun shines on me.

She's hot, but she has a LOOOOT of baggage. Don't do it to yourselves.

Edit: After 18 months and 1400 more hours of playing this game I am leaving this review as is. I don't think a solitary "do not recommend" will make a difference to a behemoth game like this and more importantly I hated every second I played this game. It's my favorite game.

It's okay, but Bungie keeps on seeming to want to actively screw it's players. The most recent one is that for the past few months Bungie "unlocked" timers on raids, allowing you to do raids over and over for rewards, since the raid gear could be leveled up for the new expansion. However the only benefit of that gear are the exclusive mod slots and they waited until a few weeks before the expansion to mention "Oh yeah... also were cancelling the mods."

They pretended unlocking raids was a fill in for a very light content season, then pulled the rug out when they were ready to finally release the expansion.

Decent mechanics, story mode was pretty horrible. But my biggest problem is going to be an admittence of mine. Sometimes I get mad at games because I'm doing bad, and this is one of those games. So when I went to ragequit and do something else this game told me I couldn't quit until the next stoppage of play. So NBA2k16, I will not call a timeout just to quit. I will be petty and type up a 30 second review though.

Arc Games is the worst when they took over from Cryptic. I tried to recover my old account through my e-mail. I can log into the site, I can change my password. When I log into the launcher it asks if I had an old Cryptic account. If I did I have no idea what the password was so I click no and it tells me I need to log into my cryptic account. Awesome. So instead I just make a new e-mail address because why not, but after I enter that information in the page tells me it is outdated and to try again later. Then when I try again later it tells me I can't register because that email is already used. So when I try to log in it tells me I have invalid details, so when I try to recover the account it tells me the email attached does not have an account and I should register. And when I register it tells me an account already.....

JFC! This is next level asinine bureaucracy.
