Now, to say that this game's rating is complicated is a bit of an understatement.

The game's story is phenomenal, and truly builds up incredibly to it's sucessor, Library of Ruina.
However, the game itself is *very* rough around the edges. It is poorly optimized, and does have a few glitches here and there. The gameplay loop is also definitely not for everyone, but that couldn't be more false for the bossfights; as tension builds up and you're in a mad scramble trying to get everything together, until finally, the "day finished" window pops up, and you take a sigh of relief, as you take the next few days to collect some more E.G.O. before the next bossfight.

I recommend this games mostly for it's highs, as it is a game of incredible highs and pitiful lows, unfortunately. If you're not much into story and moreso like braindead gameplay, you should try Ruina instead then. But this game, has quite a bit to offer. I'd recommend modding it with BaseMod and getting Optimization Mod and whatever quality of life mods you may prefer after playing it a bit, since apparently there's an on-going trend of amazing Unity games being horribly optimized. (looking at you, Valheim)

Overall, I'd give this game a solid 8.8; The story is fantastically jaw-dropping, and had me going "what the f*ck" and "holy sh*t" at least 17 times with it's several twists and turns, and I personally enjoyed the gameplay, even if it's not for everyone, but the downsides of poor optimization and lack of polish at times is a bit too detrimental to the game itself at times.

If you think this game seems like your type, don't be too bothered by my warnings, and definitely go for it. It's quite an experience. But if it doesn't look like it, then try picking it up on a sale.

Este jogo é incrivelmente gratificante e mesmo possuindo uma grande dificuldade, ela é justificada pelos fortes temas do "plot" e pela dificuldade natural do gênero de plataforma. Celeste provê para aqueles que preferem uma jogatina casual com seu "Modo de Assistência" e ainda provê para jogadores procurando por um desafio com seus Lados B, versões um pouco mais curtas de fases, mas duas vezes mais difíceis, Lados C, que são apenas 3 salas com um tema de uma fase mas extremamente desafiadores e Morangos Dourados, que obrigam o jogador a terminar uma fase inteira sem morrer. TL;DR: este jogo é desafiador, mas ele algo pra qualquer um querendo jogar casual ou hardcore.

This game is simply outstanding. Yes, no game is without flaw. It's difficulty might be considered a nuisance by some, but for the most part it's supposed to be a challenge. The amount of work and dedication put into this is just jaw-dropping.
