Loved the brutalist architecture but everything else was really meh. The combat was underwhelming and the campaign has no climax or really anything of note along the way besides some occasional platforming. Can't really recommend unless you want to kill an hour staring at grey textures.

Engrossing little extraction shooter that left me craving more of it.

Very fun though the controls can require some grappling in the heat of the moment. Mulching dozens of mechs in a few seconds and causing the frame rate to chug from all their parts scattering around feels good. The progression from chump to lightning-fast death god gives the game a very strong 'just one more run' feeling with a good variety of weapons and builds to experiment with.

At first you think it's just a meh Gunfire Reborn knock-off but once you start unlocking stuff you realize it's actually a slick movement shooter that kinda blows Gunfire Reborn out of the water. The combat ramps up fast and once you click in and start styling on whole crowds of enemies the game blossoms into an addictive roguelite that keeps begging for just one more run. Every playable class has something fun to offer, though some are certainly a lot easier than others. The guns feel good and have decent variety with only a few duds. The economy for upgrades and items is balanced well enough so you always have a little spending money at rest areas even if you aren't actively trying to save up. The meta progression is also well handled and the secrets aren't obnoxiously over-hidden or locked behind steep difficulty.
This game is the cream of the crop among roguelite shooters and an easy recommend.

I love this game and I am absolutely jonesing for more of it. The movement feels great, the world is fun to explore, and the bosses are honestly some of the coolest I've ever fought in an FPS in a long time. This is the best FPS of 2024.

Some notes:

Once comfortable with the movement all perked up, the player becomes a flying god of infinite rockets, the soldiers become ants and the big menacing vehicles become the easiest targets when you need a jump refill. The game needs some new late-game enemies to keep up the heat because rocket death god versus ants gets kinda samey before long. An enemy that fires a strong super persistent tracking projectile akin to the Vore from Quake 1 or a hover board enemy who could rival the player's breakneck flying would be cool to see and could add more value to your ability to just rip through level geometry like tissue paper.

The Tony Glock perk paired with the rocket launcher pretty much breaks the difficulty as you functionally have infinite rockets as long as there's any piece of level geometry you can grind on, which will never be too far. Either drastically slowing down the explosive ammo regen or exempting it altogether would put the rocket launcher in a much more sensible position as a power weapon you save for big threats rather than the overpowered wand of death you use on everything.

The skating focused level chunks are fun to race down and I would love to see more content designed purely for speeding around with grapple swings and rocket boosts.
The game is crying out for a Tony Hawk trick system with things like double clicking hoverboard for kick flips or double tapping up or down to start a manual with the punishment for screwing up a trick being ragdolled off of your board.

I loved Ginormo Sword back in the day and this game takes a lot of inspiration from it. However, the game is not very long or challenging at all, i was capable of beating it twice in like 40-ish minutes. I enjoyed the brief experience but it is simply not worth 8 dollars.
Also the music was bland as hell.

Not having the victory screens after a match is pretty disappointing. Also when I run 3rd Strike on MAME it never has a problem, yet here there's an occasional brief stutter during matches. It doesn't throw me off too much or anything, but it's really annoying.
But it's still Street Fighter and it's still fun to play with friends, so i guess it's worth it if you really dont want to just grab some free roms off the internet for whatever reason.

Was expecting a sort of supernatural mystery affair with puzzles and exploration, but instead I got a load of teenage drama and almost zero actual gameplay beyond some bad minigames.

Mae is possibly the least likable protagonist I've ever seen in a videogame. She's an incompetant, lazy, rude, dumb, self-absorbed college drop-out who comes back to her hometown to live with her parents.
The only character i really liked was Bae because she had half a mind to call Mae out on her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, though at the end she inexplicably drops that and admits that Mae really is a "good person" Which is a funny thing to say about someone who pressures you into shoplifting and makes you look bad in front of other people.

The game tricks you into believing there will be a cool mystery story set up, but it all builds up to absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing. When things start getting interesting, the game just hastily drops everything and ends. I felt cheated out of a good story. Not to spoil too much, but the main conflict is literally solved with 'rocks fall, everyone dies' type of lazy writing. There are mentions of some great catastrophe befalling the town, but nothing happens. Mae has a few dream sequences that seem like they're gonna mean something, but they mean nothing.

If i have to say nice things, i'll admit the art is very pretty and i liked some of the humor. but otherwise than that, i don't see anything to recommend in this game.

Has all the man-climbing and crotch grabbing that I've been looking for in my life. The game is tons of fun and the controls are easy to grasp like the sweaty flapping bulges of your fellow climbers. I give it 10 dangling dongs out of 10. Buy it.
