♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head
I see all this potential, and I see squandering. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy ♥♥♥♥ we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off. - Tyler Durden

"He's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head, the world's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head — and you’re ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head 'cause MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up head is inside it. Guess if you want to save the world, that's the first step — get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head." - Johnny Silverhand

"[...] But, besides all this, death is the great opportunity no longer to be I;- to him who uses it. During life the will of man is without freedom: his action takes place with necessity upon the basis of his unalterable character in the chain of motives. But every one remembers much that he has done, and an account of which he is by no means satisfied with himself. If now he were to go on living, he would go on acting in the same way, an account of the unalterable nature of his character. Accordingly he must cease to be what he is in order to be able to arise out of the germ of his nature as a new and different being. Therefore, death looses these bonds; the will again becomes free; for freedom lies in the Esse, not in the Operari [...]" - Arthur Schopenhauer

M Scott Peck defines love thus: “The will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth.” In that context, you might well be able to love another. However, you will most likely punish, hurt or resent them at the same time.

“There's the problem. They say we all get the same thing, the same twenty four hours in a day, but that's not true. We gotta work, we gotta drive our kids around. I'm a selfish old ♥♥♥♥♥ and I'm greedy with my time… Everyone is gonna try to take a chunk of your twenty four hours. We all need time to grow, and in this world of ours, we all need money to get by. I'm not gonna be your moral compass, kid. But it's gonna be hard: you'll need to grab what you can, and then you'll need to know when to pass it around so the people you rely on have room to breathe. You're going to fight for slices of that twenty four. And you have enemies I can't know about. Buying us peace gives you time to learn…But it's never easy. Everything is a fight, isn't it?” Lucinda Palys-Nash

"I might not know why I do certain things, but I'd rather do them than risk sitting in a corner later, sulking and thinking, 'Damn, my life sucks.'"
