After spending over 18 hours with Deltarune (Chapter 1,2, 3-4), I can absolutely say. This is easily one of the best games I've played not just this year, but in the past few years.

Not many games make me consistently want to hop back into its world, but this is a very rare exception to that rule.

Everything about this game is excellent, the pixel artwork, its cast of characters, the story, gameplay. humour. Everything here is done brilliantly, and especially for an indie project, it's truly incredible how far this game has come since the release of Chapter 1 back in 2018.

Another thing I wish to note, this game has genuine charm and soul to it, and doesn't feel like just some generic product released onto the market, But an honest, expressive labour of love and talent. I absolutely and highly recommend this game to anyone. I seriously look forward to any news, as well as the release of future chapters to this wonderful game.

[Personal Ranking of Each Chapter in Order]

Chapter 1 - 8.5/10
Chapter 2 - 10/10
Chapter 3 - 9/10
Chapter 4 - 10/10

Early Access Review
An overall solid early access release, for what it is. It has no right to be as good as it is in it's current state. But overall, I do feel there is a few problems that hopefully will be resolved in the future.

Positives:
- Great performance/optimisation for Early Access
- Immersive Sound Design especially with the firearms and environment
- Weapons feel punchy and realistic with how they recoil, look, sound and impact objects.
- The Dialogue (Most of the time) from both operatives and NPC's are immersive and don't feel out of place.

Negatives:
- The Aim-bot on some of the suspects is absolutely ridiculous with how quickly they can take down an entire squad.
- No Sprint or Dive button, making getting out of or narrowly avoiding firefights near impossible.

Final Opinion:
Although there is a few minor problems, I think most of my criticisms will be addressed in future updates. But I personally think the addition of Directional Audio and a Steam Workshop would make this even better. I genuinely have high hopes for the final release of this game and subsequent future updates.
