Chivalry 2 has solid gameplay, but the forced diversity really ruins it. The game is set in medieval Europe, yet you can make non-white and female characters, which just feels completely out of place. Historically, Europe has been overwhelmingly white:

Middle Ages (around the 12th century): Europe was over 99% white.
14th to 18th century: Europe remained roughly 98-99% white.
19th century: Europe was still around 98% white.
20th century: Even by the mid-1900s, Europe was still around 97-98% white.
21st century: Only in the last 20 years has Europe’s demographics shifted significantly, but it's still largely over 90% white.

This forced diversity breaks immersion and takes away from the authentic medieval experience. Players want a believable world, not one that pushes modern ideas into a historical setting. Diversity isn’t needed here and doesn’t add anything to the game. Chivalry 2 would be much better if it stuck to the time period and focused on authenticity, rather than shoehorning in diversity for the sake of it.
