Definitely plays and feels like a spiritual successor to SWAT 4.
The game still needs work and polish for sure but the heart is there.

The AI could use some work. I cleared a room with a flashbang and there was another section with the AI just standing there as if they didn't hear the gunshots and flashbang go off in the area I just cleared.
Civilian AI sometimes run away and don't surrender even if you punch them. Some of the voice lines don't match up with how the Civilian AI react - like they tell me they won't get down but they do.

The voice acting is hit or miss in the game. I hope some of it is place holder audio like the hotel mission briefing sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom. Enemy and Civilians need more variety in voice lines.

All in all, good roots and I hope it can only grow from here.

The base game by itself is alright but gets old fast though there is some variety.
I'm sure as time passes there will be more features added.

The mods are what makes this game special.
Ever wanted to have modern military fight WW2 armies or Warhammer 40K? Yeah you can do it.
Alot of the work the community does is high quality.

I think the game needs to have some better optimisations.
Why do all the mods have to load into RAM on start? If you have too many mods it may not even start and will crash.
This forces you to have to unsubscribe to mods that you want to keep.
If the developer could make it so that mods don't have to load into RAM at the start and only load when needed it would be great.

It was decent. Gameplay and graphics are fine for the style it was going for.
I found it pretty easy to get suspects to comply once you get the mirror, pepper spray and taser so the game kind of stopped being a challenge as long as I took it slow when entering rooms.

Pros
- This is a must purchase for any Ace Combat fan.
- The gameplay is exactly like in any Ace Combat game.
- I had a lot of fun playing the campaign and would definitely give it another run through.
- Also played a bit in VR and it was pretty cool and makes you feel like your living your childhood fantasy of being a fighter pilot.

Cons
- Unguided bombing needs some work. I couldn't aim properly without shifting the camera down.
- The radio chatter can be hard to hear sometimes due to the overuse of the radio effect so I had a bit of a hard time following what was being said sometimes.

Congratulations to the developer getting this out after several years of hard work.

It mixes up the XCOM formula and tries something new. Decently long campaign and it is definitely worth trying if you are a fan of the series.

Terrible voice acting and aesthetics though, hopefully mod's can fix that in the future.
I hope the next entry in the series doesn't go in that same art direction.

I haven't fired up Arma 3 since the game had come out several years ago and I finished the original campaign. I feel like this was one of the best I've played (having played OFP and all its expansions + Arma 2 and 3).
This campaign DLC caught my eye because I'm a sucker for science fiction and I have to say it was worth every penny for the intriguing story environment. The combat is very much like Arma where it can turn out to be great or down right frustrating. Sneaking around the middle of the woods at night and using the radio to lead enemy troops into ambush was great fun. Getting gunned down because your truck got stuck in a rock and flipped over isn't so much. There were a couple of other issues - at certain times the game was running poorly with low FPS. Turning the settings down didn't seem to help too much. Scanning the aliens was very very tiring by the 2nd to last mission, I must have wasted about 30 minutes before finally googling what to do.

Overall, if you are expecting to play Halo this isn't for you - but if you like a slow paced tactical FPS combined with the movie 'Arrival' then this might catch your eye. I recommend it if you are prepared for what to expect. I personally did enjoy it a lot.
