Fun game, great story, great visuals and a general blast. When I played this game though, there were HEAPS of bugs, some of them softlocking me and others just being goofy and mildly immersion breaking, and occasionally completely altering missions.

Unfortunately, I can't really recommend it anymore, especially after playing other games in a similar vein as this one.

Now, while I do absolutely adore this game, for the content you get, unfortunately the price is a bit egregious. If the game were 30 or 40 dollars, it would make more sense for the content you get. I entirely 100% beat everything in this game in less than 30 hours, with every side mission, every suit, and everything else completely finished, and the replayability is pretty subpar. There's not exactly much to do after beating the game, and New Game+ doesn't offer much in terms of more content after completing the game. This game is consistently updated to take care of bugs though, which does show that the developers care.

First off, there's only 17 side missions and 32 main missions, which may sound like a lot, but most of the side missions are incredibly short, and this game is very, very linear in story, making it so you pretty easily breeze through those 32 main missions. Not saying it's a bad thing for a game and story to be linear, it's just that in this specific case, it makes it very, very easy to breeze through things. Not to mention, on some missions, I had severe bugs where NPCs would entirely break, making it so I could get through certain bits in under a minute, which left me a bit disappointed, but maybe it's fixed now. A lot of people were complaining about performance on this game as well. While I never had an issues, that's probably because my setup is a little beefier than others, and even then I was still stuck around 50 - 60 FPS.

Now, compared to something like Cyberpunk, or even the first spiderman game, this game really cannot compare at all, as those games are both much, much larger. I got Cyberpunk at around $40 on a sale at some point, and realized how much larger and more indepth the game was, For instance, Cyberpunk's main missions consist of about 52 (if you have phantom liberty), and with its non-linear nature, each of those missions are incredibly lengthy and rich compared to this game, and that's not even counting the side missions, gigs, etc. Hell, I have about 80 hours in one save and haven't even beaten the game there yet, let alone completed every side mission and gig. Not to mention, when you beat the game, you can replay it and have a completely different experience from your initial experience. But with Spiderman 2, I was able to complete the game in under 30 hours, with about 3 hours of my playtime being AFK time, and replayability is very, very lackluster.

All in all, I'm pretty disappointed in the amount of content in Spiderman 2 for the price that it's listed at, as well as its replayability and the amount of bugs being on par with Cyberpunk's initial release.

TL;DR Not enough content for the price, previous games as well as games like Cyberpunk offer 1000x more content and better replayability for a lower price (assuming you catch them on sale), riddled with gamebreaking bugs at the time I played even after several patches, performance requirements require either a NASA computer or DLSS with 4x frame generation if you're running anything above 720P. The story of Spiderman 2 is amazing and there are some very fun moments and mechanics, though the game is very, very linear.

I think I've found my new obsession. This game is REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. It's like if FNAF, the SCP games, Ironlung, and Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes had an orgy, and created this absolute monstrosity and beauty of a game.

UPDATE:
Gloomy's uploaded the video of our run getting Duty Savant and Immediate Termination, if you'd like to watch, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lpLkUgog90

Quick edit:
Me and my friend, Gloomy, have become the very first people to get the "DUTY SAVANT", and "IMMEDIATE TERMINATION" achievements, we got them a few hours ago. We're ♥♥♥♥♥♥' balling. Our time in "IMMEDIATE TERMINATION" was 29.6, because the timer still ticks a bit even after we explode, which was what made us fail at failing quite a few times. Gloomy's gonna be releasing a video on that at some point. Still trying to figure out what NLX22 is used for, whether it's a password or something else. Also, even after the mini-patch, walkies are still really difficult to understand. There were moments for like, minutes at a time where it was just wildly distorted static, even though we were just talking normally, and even turned down our mic volumes. We just ended up using Discord a couple times and making some really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ walkie-talkie voice changers, lol. (Btw, the 5 upgrades achievement is broken)

BUGS YAP START
At this moment in time, there's a couple of bugs, only one of which requiring us to restart. The two bugs we've encountered come about in the same way, and are mostly random. If you die, and your teammate dies, there's a chance the "spectating" text will remain at the bottom of your screen for the next day, as well as another bug that could possibly occur with walkie-talkies completely not working for one person, where they can't talk at all, but they can hear the other person. But other than those two, I've encountered basically zero bugs in gameplay, which is neat.
BUGS YAP END

What I actually think about the game (My gameplay perspective is all from Security, I haven't played Administrative yet)
------------------
(First off: This game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ breath of fresh air compared to nearly every other modern horror game. Mascot horror has become so common and over-saturated in horror games, that it's difficult to find anything that isn't just a Bendy and The Ink Machine copy-paste with a twist, and it really kinda sucks. Fight me. There are some more non-mascot horror games that are popping up recently, and for every one of them that I've played so far, they've all been amazing, and this game is no exception.)
Now, I love the concept of walkie-talkies, with you being forced to communicate only through audio, completely unable to see the other player and the situation they're in, and essentially being forced to actually communicate clearly to progress. What adds onto this is how difficult it is to actually understand the other person. While I personally think the effect's too much, with my friend just sounding like static at times trying to tell me a code, it still adds onto that communication factor of needing to communicate well, clearly, and precisely, sometimes forcing you to repeat multiple times.
Since some enemies can hear you when talking over the radio, if they come over, you can't talk at all, which could possibly cut off an important code, or an incoming prisoner's name/crime/grade, etc.
The game gives you an infinite amount of time to prepare and plan, or buy things from the merchant, or read up on emails, or read up on the database to see what you're dealing with, etc. Me and my friend have developed our own little special system to tell each other what's going on, which is just essentially just "I'll frantically scream if I need lights off, and you'll frantically scream if you need me to turn the valve", lol. While being given that time to prepare before the game starts is amazing and definitely a great feature, I do think that we almost get too much time. What I would personally like, is if we had a time limit for every day until blackout (and perhaps a penalty if we don't clock in before blackout), forcing us to hastily think of what we need to do, possibly making the game more surprising if we encounter something we weren't fully prepared for (Husk was like this for us, since we quite literally never touched the shutters up until that point, and skimmed through Husk's file, and ended up getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decked).
The tasks in this game are a HUGE highlight. There's tasks such as admitting prisoners, checking door requests, cooking food, etc. These tasks are ALL necessary, giving you a penalty if you fail a task. The penalties work in a 3 strikes and you're out policy (literally just blowing your ass up if you fail 3 tasks, lmao), and they dock your pay 5 credits with each penalty, which adds a good extra layer of suspense and an extra "oh ♥♥♥♥" factor to the game if the timer on the task starts getting low. At the moment, the admitting prisoners task doesn't feel like a main task, and I think it'd be neat if it was more of the main focus, with you needing to reach a certain quota of convicts admitted, else you get a penalty for each prisoner you failed to admit.
Some enemies like Mr. Handjob and Kyle Nimbus feel almost too easy to go up against. Most of the time with the rotted arms, I can hear the vents creaking open, as well as just walk around the arms, since the hitboxes are small enough that I can do that, basically making it have zero impact to gameplay. On top of that, he only grabs me for like, 3 seconds, then drops me again, which, for most enemies and tasks, doesn't inhibit me at all especially since I can still communicate when I'm grabbed, which makes it so getting grabbed doesn't matter if it's an enemy that can only be stopped by Administration, and on top of that, he doesn't show up that often he'll maybe show up once or twice a day, although I've had a day where he's just not shown up at all. I would love it if his hitbox was made to be larger, cutting off entire portions of my office at a time, making it more difficult to do certain tasks, and if he were to grab you for muuuuch longer to inhibit you from doing crucial tasks. On top of that, he could just kinda "strangle" you instead as well, making it impossible for you to communicate, and possibly giving you a short-term effect of your speed being halved, unable to run, and a loud kinda pounding in your ears, making it harder to hear your partner.
For Lil' Third Reich, he's just kinda... there. Since the valve only takes a couple seconds, and it's really close-by, it makes him a pretty easy opponent to defeat. If the wheel took longer to turn, and his gas were to gradually slow you down to prevent you from getting to it, I think that could drastically change his character up a bit.
Now, for the style. I. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Love it. The game's aesthetic is like a mix between PS1 styles, and Lethal Company's style. The fisheye lens and natural body movements makes it kinda feel like a bodycam. The blown out lights, ghost bloom effect/lens flares, the subtle grain, etc, makes it ALL feel so uncanny. Some of the character designs too are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creepy when paired with this aesthetic, making for a horrifying experience.

At the moment, I haven't played through the full campaign, but I 110% plan on playing through the whole thing. It's an amazing game, and definitely one of my all-time favorites now. I'll update this review when I've fully played through the game.

Early Access Review
I found this game through "Shoeless" and his awesome flick tech today, and then also bought the game today. Only been playing this game for 2 hours (as of writing this), the game is SUPER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, the community is incredibly nice, super chill, I've been taught quite a few things by the community, and the game's quite a workout. The difficult part is getting past that learning curve of getting things down in your muscle memory, but once you get past that, it's super fun to discover new things you can do, punch walls into people, make discs go flying, etc.
Some of my favorite moves so far that I've learnt:
- Speed Disc (Still trying to get it down, but super fun when I succeed in doing it)
- 2 Wall punch (Spawning 2 walls in, as the second wall is spawning in, punch/straight the first wall, and it'll go flying, I don't know the actual name of this move, lol.)

I haven't even unlocked all the moves yet, and I'm having fun.
The only thing I don't like, is the running. Everyone I've met in this game struggles with it a bit, but I've found that running isn't entirely necessary, as I can just physically move IRL and walk in game to dodge objects.
Cannot wait to get to the top, lol.
Side note: This game loads FAST. Most VR games I play take forever to load, but it's honestly refreshing to have a VR game that doesn't take 12 years just to load in the main menu. *Cough Cough* Half Life: Alyx *Cough Cough* BONELAB.

Over 100 hours on a single save and I haven't even 100% beat the game. Phantom Liberty broke me, was actually on the verge of tears through the whole ending. Johnny's a goober. 11/10 would cry again.

P.S. Devs are also doing an insane job maintaining the game and adding free new content. Genuinely impressive and amazing to see, knowing that the game's not gonna just end up abandoned by CDPR. Modding community's also great with a mod for basically everyone. I'm mainly minimalist with my mods, as I have basically only one mod actually affecting gameplay, which is to remove the level cap. Main reason being, as it stands right now, attributes are kinda wonky tbh, especially since you can't refund and reallocate points like you can with the skill trees, and you can only reset them all once, which sucks if I wanna swap between different builds to try things out and see which build I like better. Past that though, incredible and intricate game.
I've personally also made my own build that I call the "Kleptomaniac". Mostly relies on drop points, and with the Kleptomaniac setup I end up bankrupting 2 - 3 vendors at a time, making me a stupid amount of money in just 30 minutes or so if I'm actively grinding.

Awesome game, I play it more than even some of the games I've paid for, although optimization is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. My PC with a 3060 and a Ryzen 7 5800x are chugging on this game at times, and sometimes it just altogether freezes for like 30 seconds randomly. Definitely needs better optimization, but it's still super fun.
