Rocket League is a brilliant concept, with great graphics and fast paced, fun game play.

On PC, using a mouse and a keyboard, the game is absolutely Vonnegutesque. Any PC player is handicapped and penalized for their added ability to control their mouse. The mouse has no raw input, no way to alter the X and Y sensitivity or alter the configuration files. There is no way to add a modifier key to allow control of the camera with precision, all the while the game constantly changes the mouse responsiveness if it thinks you are doing too well.

This game has so much potential to be absolutely awesome on the PC, but they have Harrison Bergeron-ed[en.wikipedia.org] all PC players, forcing them to either buy a controller or play at not only the disadvantage of having ONE THIRD the analog capabilities of a controller, but also removing functionality and standard control capabilities that PC gamers have had since Everquest was released in 1999.

I really think this game is fun, and has so much potential. They won't allow PC players to reach their own potential, mostly because the amazing feats that the "pros" who have 5000 hours played on the game accomplish could be done by any non casual competitive PC gamer within two days of buying the game.

I'd love to recommend, but I can't. I'm not going to handicap myself to play a video game.

Time sink!

Everyone loves a good time sink, right? Yes! No? Maybe/Of course...

When the game was in beta, everyone had microphones, spoke well on chat, and helped eachother. The game as it stands today is a mishmash of fails. Fail to support your fifteen year old peruvian autistic teammates (80% of 2k mmr), you lose. Fail to carry or support your seventeen year old brazilian, american-hating teammates (90% of 3k mmr), you lose. Fail to carry your entire team who is working against you, complete with team harm and actually retarded people (aka 9 vs 1), YOU LOSE (all mmrs).

In other worse, you lose. Play this, and you are a loser.

Unplayable as a PC game with mouse and keyboard. Entirely designed to allow console kiddies to 'break into' pc gaming by playing a good game that PC users want to play. Said design makes it completely impossible to play for any PC user who has more control of their games with their entire hand, wrist, and arm (THIS IS ALL PC USERS) than they do with their thumbs (ONCE AGAIN, EVERY HUMAN BEING EVER).

Waste of 20 bucks. I'm not downgrading my skill level to play a game.

Mortal Online :

My nostalgia for oldschool hardcore sandbox games just got punched in the face by real time combat wearing gauntlets.

Early Access Review
I would love to recommend this game. I cannot at the moment recommend it.
The entire immersion effect is spoiled within 30 minutes of your first log in when a hacker comes and kills you. Shrug this off, and spend any amount of time gathering and you will immediately lose it to another hacker. Make armor? Hacker. Make weapons? Hacker. Build your house? Hacker.
Un.Fecking.Testable. Can't even play it long enough without getting pissed on and pissed off by a hacker. EVEN IN EXPERIMENTAL where there is an added layer of anti-cheat, the cheaters are still there. Everywhere.

I won't play again until this is beta. At the moment, thumbs fecking down.
