Updated Review: 1.0 is officially out and I now feel comfortable recommending this game. 1.0 has added new weapons and updated some of the systems within the game. The gun play and movement is crisp, clean, and just feels so damn good. The weapons are fun and range from super simple assault rifles to Iron Man like gloves. The enemies are pretty generic but the areas and how you progress varies enough to make it interesting (more than the usual kill boss, progress to next stage). Areas that were marked off are now unlockable through collecting keys during your playthroughs. I am genuinely excited to jump back into this game and recommend you pick it up if you are a fan of roguelikes!


Old Review: Game is fun. Love the guns and the movement is solid. My biggest gripe is that I haven't seen an update to the actual game in 4 months. It is currently unfinished with many areas blocked off with checkered tape like it's a construction zone. I believe there's 4 areas to fight through before an abrupt ending telling you to come back after further updates. To top it all off, after 4 months of no updates, they finally release an announcement. The announcement is to discuss regional price adjustments. Hoping to change this to a YES after the game is fully released because it has a TON of potential!

Cool powers and weapons. Game play is ok for probably the first 40% of the game. After that, enemies become damage sponges and it turns into enemy kiting simulator. Completing this game with my buddies ultimately became a chore. To top everything off, I see that they are releasing a DLC for $40. Hard pass, which is unfortunate because I REALLY wanted to like this game.
