i wish that there was a in between rating as the game isn't as bad as a lot of the reviews make it seem. im going to talk about the campaign as this is in my opinion the most important part of home world. This games campaign is just bad to put it bluntly. it dosent have much substance to the story, i was hopping that a lot of the questions i had would have been answered at the end but they didnt. there is no reason for the bbeg to be the bbeg other than the need for a bbeg. the unit control could be better but its not tearable. over all the game is just mediocre not good and not bad its not worth the $80 CAD and i would struggle to recommend it and $40 CAD if it was priced at $30-$35 i would recommend people to play it but its just not worth it at the current price even at the 50% discount.

The new player experience is to put it plainly ♥♥♥♥. I'm 50 hours in with the help of a friend and the grind is so stupid, everything other than the main story missions are just fetch quests in one way or another. Want to level up your class to get new ability's grind, want to get better gear for your character grind you can craft stuff but you need to buy a dlc for that.

Even if you are fine with everything above and just want to play the story and experience all of the campaigns you cant. The only story still in the game is from the last 3 dlc's and nothing else there isn't even a base game campaign, hell i'd argue that there isn't even a base game any more. And all you get buy down loading the game without any dlc's is just a game engine with an environment and some basic game mechanics.

This isn't to say that Destiny 2 is a bad game because it isn't but for a new player just starting out in order to get on par with the average player is just way to much of a grind to be reasonable.

D&D but video game

this is one of the games that does not work with the binary good bad system. this game is fun if you have friends to fill a lobby. if you try to play with randoms as many people have said if they go down they leave. there are a few bugs me and my friends ran into where we weren't able to do some of the puzzles or get people out of the huggy pit, but it didn't happen to often tho when it does happen it can put the entire game on hold well we try and fix it. if they fixed the few bugs we rain into this would be a great game to play with a group of friends. until then i cant recommend it with randoms

I really wanted to like this game but with the state that it is in right now i can't. The game feels so unpolished and some mechanics feel like they were shoehorned in as an afterthought (fishing and cooking). This is not to mention how bad the controls are, it feels like they didn't put any thought into the controls as all of the key bindings are really spaced out on the keyboard making you use both hands on the keyboard just to open a door and walk though it.

The game's story is only about ~10h ish depending if you do some of the side stories. And the story isn't really that good in my opinion.

The game mechanics get very boring and repetitive after the second time doing them. In able to diagnose a patients you need to do one of 3 mini games all of witch are stupidly easy im talking a child that is sleep deprived could do it easly with no way to make it harder/ more interesting. If you don't feel like doing the mini games then you could use a serame to diagnose them but you can't buy them you need to craft then which will take longer than just doing the mini games.
The one part of the game that I didn't think got old was actually making the potions as it is kinda fun trying to make them because of the different ways you could make them.

One of the things that wasn't really finished I think or at least I hope is the romance system as from what I've experienced it's not what you're expecting or at least not what i was expecting. I was expecting something similar to stardew but what we got was something awakened to a shell of what star dew has but worse.

In my opinion don't get this game unless there is a substantial discount as this feels like an unfinished game. Also if you think this was going to be a game to entertain you for hundreds of hours its not there isn't really much to do after beating the game.

fun game

i love this game and games like it but there are problems with this game problems that have been around for a long time. one of the problems im talking about is the ai they say that it has gotten better, but in reality it hasn't. sure the ai swat members may secure evidence on there own now but the suspect ai is still as broken as it was in the beta. we were able to excuse the suspect ai back when it was in beta but now that the full release is out its unacceptable. the suspect ai will use wall hacks and aim bot all the time. and they will animation cancel stuns and other effects and immediately shoot you.

RimWorld is a great time killing game. the main game does get boring and repetitive after a while but that what mods are for I would recommend getting the Royalty DLC after playing the game for a little bit just so you can get a handle on the game play loop.
