I love it but it needs some balancing.

Bloodsuckers arent scary they are just infuriating.
They have a dozen special attacks that can stun, poison, bleed, disorient, knockdown and so on and so on and they dont give any reward for killing at all.
On top of this, mutants are severe bullet sponges so you'll spend 8k coupons on ammo to kill something that doesnt give any reward at all and is extremely frustrating to fight.
There is a jump attack they do and it always knocks you down no matter what, its almost impossible to dodge them and also do any amount of damage.
The jump attack wouldnt be so bad if they had less attacks, or a clear indicator that it was going to do that one attack but they have a dozen attacks they can do at any time without any tell or prediction on what they're going to do.
Its not fun its just frustrating and forces players to either cheese them or run away, which is not rewarding or exciting, its not even scary, its only disheartening.

Regardless, I think this is the best STALKER to date and can't wait for some massive modpacks, like GAMMA.

Would pick up, worth a buy

however, you never really feel strong in this game. There's never really any time that you feel like you can be a scary demon witch hunter. Feels like the same thing over and over.

most of the game is just running for your life and begging jesus to help you.

Multiplayer would help this.

Still, really fun... Very pretty. Love the looks and the theme of it. Know that its early access but feel like sometimes you should allow the player to feel strong, maybe through a limited time power up or a rare spell that can only be cast once per expedition, or something.

Very daunting and overwhelming at first. Lots of stuff to learn. You'll still get crapped on for seemingly no reason.

Love this game. Can't wait to see what lies in its future. Constantly thinking about Ostranauts and its potential, makes me very excited to see it fully developed.

Fully worth the asking price currently, if nothing else but to support such a great idea and design.

My only complaint is that there are no clowns.

7/10 because of lack of clowns.
9/10 if it had clowns.

... or a Space Station 13/14 reference...

Its cute and I love the character design though there's quite a few things keeping this game from getting bigger. I know this is from a small team and I hate to sound critical but I do like the premise of the game and would like it to grow.

Enemies need more of a "tell" that they are going to attack, some make sounds and some jiggle before attacking but they're not noticeable at all and some of the enemies, such as the turtles, will hurt you during their telegraph part of the attack, the part that is telling the player "I am attacking soon!"

The grafting system is neat but it feels unbalanced. Some of the body parts have insanely long cooldowns and feel like downgrades where some of the body parts are just straight up busted, the gator legs letting you burrow, for example, will delete any hostile projectiles while you are burrowed and can be spammed almost forever.

I really think the chimera is super cute and I like the design but also, when you're looking at a grafted abomination, its not the same character anymore. I would buy a chimera plushie, its very cute.

The animations are terrible. No nice way to put it. Walking animations with some of the limbs look more like skating or ice skating than walking and some of the attack animations are even worse.

Enemy attacks that feel like they are a mile off still hit sometimes, such as the rhino AOE stomp. You would expect a cloud of air or something to expand out from the cracked part of the ground to show you exactly the radius of the attack but you'll be standing a decent distance away from the attack and still get hit, with no visual indicator of where the attack ended.

I can tell the developers had an idea for a character they really liked and I wish the game was more playable because I also really like the character.


If the games graphics matched the art style I think I would like it more as well. The art is cute and well done. The graphics are.... not so much. I think it would look better maybe cell-shaded or with cartoonish, hand drawn sprites.

I'll give it a thumbs down but watch for any progress in the future, wont refund because I can tell there is a fun game in here somewhere.

Diluvian Ultra is a fast paced first person murder simulator where you play as an awoken alien prince and punish interlopers.

Lots of unique weapons and abilities that change up the gameplay. Beautiful visuals, highly worth buying for the art style alone, you wont find anything out there that has this kind of style for everything, from guns to enemies to large worlds, hand crafted.

If you want a one-of-a-kind shooter and are tired of the same old thing on repeat, I highly suggest giving Diluvian Ultra a try.
