never played any of the souls games, and was very intrigued when i saw my friend playing it awhile back. decided to get the game and oh boy, this game does NOT disappoint. truly a beauty to behold, enjoyed every minute of it when running around trying not to get killed by some random bear or dragon. if my review wasn't enough, you can probably see from the other god knows how many reviews that praise this game to high heavens. definitely a recommend to just dive in, enjoy the scenery and maybe survive some random giant or knight shooting arrows at you.

If you like RPGs, then why the hell are you not playing this yet. the Ys series always seem to 1-up their game when they release a new game, from Ys 7 to Ys 8, it feels so much more smoother in its combat, and the story is amazing in itself. a little bit annoying if you want to go 100% in some of the things like 100% maps and chests, but that is not a reason to not give this game a go. after completing the game on a casual playthrough, i can safely say, one of the best RPG i have played. just give it a shot and have fun
