I've never had so much fun being miserable at the bottom of the ocean. A game that takes the SS13 inspiration, wears it on its sleeve, and did a damn good job with it

TL;DR at bottom

Overall: 8/10
Game is pretty fun, worth picking up on sale, or if you have some extra money.

Gameplay: 10/10
Hectic team based airship battles, that you get to experience as a crewman on the ships. It's so badass.

Optimization: 6/10
I'm running a decently nice computer and I occasionally get FPS drops on high graphics.

Variety: 7/10
There's only 7(I think) ships and 4 heavy guns. There are about 20 light guns, but I'd like to see more heavy guns and more ships.

Visuals: 9/10
On high graphics, the game looks really nice. I am never distracted by low res textures or ugly looking ships. Everything looks like it belongs.

Music: 10/10
The soundtrack startled me at first. I didn't expect this game to have music that was actually amazing. For a game with 0 focus on music, it's amazing. The sounds are perfect during combat, the music compliments without overwhelming. Very nice.

Replayability: 10/10
Battles are never the same, there are 466 achievements to work on, you can always get better at your class, you can learn another class. There are nearly infinite things to do in this game.

Something Good:
I've made some good friendships in this game. The community is really great, everyone tries to work together, and trolls are hard to find. Once you get out of the lower levels, you are hardly ever going to find anyone trolling, because the amount you have to commit to get to the higher levels means that no one is going to level a character just to troll.

Something bad: If you want this game to be fun, you need a group of three other people to play with. You can find them in Guns of Icarus, get IRL friends, whatever, but you need a full party for this game to remain fun for long. If you don't, it will rapidly become dull, you'll lose frequently. Overall, it'll suck.

Overview:
Basically, you fly around in an airship, blowing other ships out of the sky. It's pretty fun. You can specialize by picking one of three classes, gunner, engineer, or pilot. Each has their strengths and something they are good at. Pilots have the ability to trade the health of the ship for speed or turning power. Engineers have the ability to repair parts, rebuild parts, or buff parts. Gunners can take three types of ammo into the match, giving them the ability to react to different situations. A well played ship is a thing of beauty. Pilot sails you in, gunner unloads their weapon into the enemy ship, the engineer is buffing all of the parts and healing the ship when it takes damage. It's a wonderful feeling. Dog fights can last seconds or minutes, depending on the skill of the crews.

TL;DR:
At best, the game is hectic, skill based, and stupidly fun. When your ship finally clicks and works properly, when you're calling out orders in the thick of battle, when you finally destroy the ship you're fighting, the feeling is amazing. If you don't have a group of friends to play with, this probably won't happen often, and you'll lose interest and end up hating it. 8/10

Put a burlap sack on my head and ran around a town murdering people with an axe, that I had stolen off of someone I killed with a baseball bat in an ambush. I was eventually assasinated by another person with a baseball bat while I was eating beans.
10/10 Would bandit again.
