I loved the concept of this game. I've been waiting for it to go on sale forever and it finally did so I snatched it up. I was somewhat enjoying it but all my scores were in the bottom 20% and I couldn't figure out why. I thought I was managing the roads reasonably well. I searched for tips and found a list of 10 tips. The most important of which was don't let 2 colors share the same road. The next level I did I got over 3000 and in the top 2% but it wasn't fun at all. To get the highest scores you basically play the game Flow Free with a few extra steps. That's not fun or worth the money. I thought the game would reward the best actual road networks, not completely unrealistic snakes of roads everywhere. If anyone knows of a game that actually rewards good road building please let me know.

My brother and I got this game because of all the great reviews. I don't get it at all. This game is more of an interactive movie then a co-op game. And it's not even a good movie. They stole almost every trope from Shawshank Redemption during the prison piece of the game. We were accurately predicting what was about to happen based on things that happened in Shawshank Redemption. Took us less than 6 hours to play through and we only finished it because we'd gotten so far waiting for real game play to happen. There was a little bit more towards the middle/end of the "game" but there's no way 6 hours of game play, even if it was as good a game as some of these reviews are making it out to be, is worth the price tag on this game. Without spoilers I can't really explain why, but if you think about the story for more then 30 seconds it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Pretty fun tower defense game that is still being updated regularly.

I will say though, that IF YOU LIKE TO FULLY COMPLETE GAMES, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME unless you are willing to put in thousands of hours. They are always adding more but currently to fully complete the game there are:

335 skills 15 skills per tower + 5 paragon skills
143 achievements
1408 insta-monkeys 64 for each tower
14 powers
133 monkey knowledge nodes
62 maps
1736 standard game mode ribbons 14 game modes per map for single player and again for co-op
175 items to buy from the in-game store
33 items to buy from the team store

So that is 4095 things to unlock to fully complete the game, and I'm probably forgetting some. The standard game map modes are easily over 500 hours of play time to achieve alone.

How is this game so fun? I don't know but it is.
