"Capcom with another great game." Is what I would say if I could get above 30 frames. I spent over two hours trying to min-max my settings before being able to play this trash heap of code they call a game.

I don't think you should be able to excuse a bad performance by forcing the consumer to turn on FSR or DLSS. It's lazy and a slap in the face of people who don't have the capacity to upgrade their computers. Now this doesn't mean I think this should run on a potato; it should be able to run on low settings with a decent framerate on 8 GB of VRAM. However, these are raw frame stats, with no fake frames from DLSS or FSR taken into account.

Now that the optimization is out of the way, let's talk gameplay. Now I haven't finished the game at the time of writing here, but so far the combat and flow of the game are very similar to that of the previous title, Monster Hunter: World, with some exceptions.

There is no more 'tracking' a monster; I assume this is because of the open-world nature of the game. It would be horrible running around trying to find a single footprint in the vast fields of grass, sandy dunes, and flooded forests, so I understand why they chose this approach with just having the monster already pointed out.

The idea of focus mode is excellent, but the implementation is horrible. The ability to change an attack's direction when it would've ordinarily missed is great, but it comes with no direct downsides. Hitting a true charged slash felt amazing before, having to time and position yourself correctly to ensure a good hit. With focus mode, positioning goes out the window. Who cares if the monster jumped behind you? Just 180 and land that swing. Same for SAED and other heavy-hitting attacks. There is no real punishment for missing attacks anymore, because you have a near aimbot-like accuracy if you just lock onto the monster.

Wounds. Good idea, love the way they handled it for monsters. Hate the way they made weapons handle wounds. I mostly play Charge Blade and Longsword, and for Longsword, everything couldn't be more perfect. Destroying wounds upgrades your Spirit Gauge, and it's never been easier to land spirit blade attacks with focus mode (not entirely a good thing!). For Charge Blade, it's a race for resources and time management; Power Axe mode can only be activated if you destroy wounds. This means you are lacking an important part of your kit until you manage to open a wound and destroy it, and then you are on a time limit to repeat this if you want to keep Power Axe up. The only other ways to activate it are also directly tied to the monster's actions; perfectly blocking an attack, mounting and destroying a wound while mounted (with your weapon attack), or winning a power struggle will also activate Power Axe mode. Notice how all of the activations require no input sequence or combo? It's taken away from player control nearly directly, with only perfectly blocking being the only way to activate Power Axe without wounds or a QTE. Now I'm sure there are some complaints about other weapons and their changes; I just feel some of these need to be ironed out. Having a whole part of a weapon's kit locked behind what could essentially be a DPS check is kind of bad.

And now for the story. I haven't finished it, so this is from my experience so far: The game is called Monster Hunter, not Baby-Sitter. The whole story revolves around one child that got lost and less about exploring a new world. Many times I would be inclined to explore after killing a monster in the story, and my character would simply turn around with "We shouldn't go that way," or after finishing a cutscene and trying to leave camp to go collect more herbs or resources, "I should talk to [character]." It feels like I'm chained in an open-world game, which is odd. Now I know World's story was just as bad, but at least the story was consistent about finding new monsters and exploring the new world. In Wilds, it feels like I'm pandering to a child to stop it from crying every three seconds. Again, I haven't finished the story, but I haven't heard good things about it either.

For the most part, I'm only giving a bad review for the poor performance of the game. The gameplay is good; it's Monster Hunter, and I like Monster Hunter's core gameplay. When this game takes another year or two to fix it's problems, I will come back and hopefully change this review.

This game is one of the best PVE games to be released in recent times. This game has everything going for it; The gameplay is solid, the graphics are good, the network and multiplayer is a bit buggy but works 90% of the time. This was going to be a game that people would play for years.

Then Sony happened. Listen, Sony as a company has a really bad habit of selling leaking their data and consumer data, which can include ID, credit card information and other very important details. So having to now make a Playstation account for Sony, with all those details, seems like a bad idea.
I had a good time in Helldivers 2, but I won't be making a PSN account.

We have beaten the Sony menace back! This victory is a testament to managed democracy around the galaxy! Good work helldivers!

Early Access Review
This game is an awesome game to play with friends or with people online.
This is going to be a little bit of a controversial statement: The gameplay itself is pretty mundane.
Now I know that sounds bad, but I think it is intended this way, to focus on the multiplayer and co-op experience. I also think it's not a bad thing; a game focusing on co-op or multiplayer experience isn't bad as long as it's done well.
Lethal Company does it VERY well.
You've probably already seen clips about this game on any social media you use, but they aren't lying when they say this game is fun.
I would recommend this game if you haven't seen much of it, it has a way better charm and feeling if you go in blind.

Now I used to play WarThunder quite a bit back in the day, so when I saw this new development I was shocked at how Gaijin has ruined this game.
There is an old chinese proverb that goes like this: "Don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ strangle the goose laying the golden egg"
Gaijin didn't not follow this advice and now the goose is biting back.
All in all; Decent combat model, ♥♥♥♥ developer house.
Don't fall for the 'sunk cost fallacy' just leave the game and move onto greener pastures.

Do you like the buttons 1,2,3, and 4? If you do welcome to WarGri- I mean WarFrame! A game all about spamming CTRL+Space and Spacebar!

Other than the mashing of buttons, it's pretty solid in gameplay (Although a bit repetitive...) and Story too.
"WarFrame has a story? but it's a free to play!"
Why yes! And a quite interesting one if you dig into the lore and care about the universe. Which is kinda hard not to do as while you're grinding you'll get you fair share of time thinking on these things.

In a nutshell:
-Free
-Good Gameplay
-Nice Story
-Space Mom
-Loki is Easy Mode
