I saw Cykrates fishing down at that sewage drain that flows out the back of the homeless tents into San Leandro Bay. Not gonna lie, the dude looked rough. He was using a string of yarn wrapped around a beer bottle for his setup, and he didn't even have bait on the hook (which he had fashioned out of what looked like a twisted up pop tab).

I started yelling at him saying that he had to put some bait on the hook if he wanted to catch anything worthwhile but he just turned and looked at me with dead eyes, then he jumped into the sewage water and let the current take him away. The last I saw of him, he was floating in the distance still with those dead eyes locked on me until he went so far that I lost sight of him
